He was there with Bam for 2 years.
points to Trae Young
this is your defense right now
points to Bam Adebayo
this is what I can help you become.
come back Moussa.
Yeah…I think about this stuff too. I dream of the idea that Juwan can set up off season workouts for Diabate with guys like Bam or Webber. Then he can set up workouts for Houstan with Duncan or Livers. Then Frankie hangs out with X.
Lol. Wow . Adding more text to get to 10
I thought defenders entitled to their vertical space? (But pls don’t ever call this a charge!!!)
I have read that Juwan’s impact on Bam’s development led to his relationship with Caliperi including connections with the initial coaching search, hiring Martelli, and scheduling Kentucky in London.
vertical space is limited to 10 feet above sea level. Ja went over that.
FWIW, with Victor Oladipo’s Lazarus act, I think there is a strong possibility Duncan will be out of the rotation, especially against Boston who are going to give you 42 minutes of Tatum and Brown.
Yeah, sadly their forward rotation got really crowded right after he went off for 27 and it feels like he’s on the outside of it. I could see him getting some run if they need to score since I’m not sure the “Jimmy Butler wills his way to 40 points without shooting hardly any 3s” is sustainable…but sucks for Duncan.
It’s matchup dependent. Oladipo and Duncan provide 2 entirely different things
That’s my point. His role has mostly been to play with Herro, and you can’t play them against Brown and Tatum. That’s why I explicitly referenced the matchup.
This is amazing. Detailed breakdown of every one of Paul’s 14/14 shots. Just an incredible level of skill.
It is sort of shocking to me that a team of professional basketball players could fail to really stop an offense that runs 1 play for 288 straight minutes over 6 games, the way Utah failed in this series. There is no way that “point guard takes a hand-off, draws-double, passes to a too-slow defensive rotation” should be able to produce 40+ pretty good looks at 3 a game. My son’s 6th grade travel team runs this offense (they drive out of the advantage more often than shoot the 3)!
I guess it’s hard to scheme around “Donovan Mitchell won’t move this possession, just rotate 360 degrees in a single spot”.
Just read this morning about the severity of Embid’s injury. That’s a real bummer to lose the league MVP (?) in conference semifinals. He has had some weird stuff happen in his career and seems like he will never enjoy consistent health. This was a big opportunity—even if it seems possible the 76ers with healthy Embid might still have been the worst of the four finalists in the East.
Not sure why he was even in the game at that point. He has had a calamity full of injuries during his career college and pros.
Doc has made a ton of sins as a coach, but having any relevant player on the floor in a 25+ point game in Q4 is one of the bigger ones.
It’s how Derrick Rose’s career got ruined. Bulls were up 20 with 2 minutes left and Thibodeau didn’t take Rose out then the rest is history.
In a season that Rose had spent the entirety of bouncing on and off the injured list because of that knee!
Derrick Rose was my favourite player to watch in person. So powerful and graceful. He’d be in the air for just huge chunks of time and so much happened during those flights. He’s the knee injury I regret the most.
