Fouls mounting.
Here comes the Illinois whistle
Our refs from yesterday showed up. SMDH.
Illinois spends 12 second-half minutes in the bonus after neither team reached the bonus in the first half. I assume both teams just forgot how to play basketball in the locker room?
Loyola is tough. I keep thinking each UI run will be the end but they keep fighting back.
The 2nd half being officiated completely different than the first.
Loyola getting hit with everything while Frazier grabs the waist of the guy heâs guarding. Cool.
these are crazy phantom fouls
Curbelo out of control and bailed out with the whistle for the 40th time this year
was he even touched?
It was a good no call on Giorgi IMO, but how do you call that foul on Loyola but not the Giorgi one? Both are not fouls
If these guys had worked last nightâs ACU/Texas game, ACU would have had six guys foul out.
They might still have won, though. Texas was awful.
So we really donât want Indiana to take a look at Porter Mosier do we.
Can we have a separate dedicated officiating thread?
Just have to hope Loyola gets some makeups while they still have the lead. Fouls are 7-3 I think right now.
Usually when a 13/14/15 gets the upset itâs because they play the game of their lives. ACU was awful and they still pulled it off!
Need it to stay a 7-10 point lead to the last TV timeout. Theyâll need some cushion for when the refs let anything go and Illinois starts getting desperate
If Iâm Moser, Iâm pointing this out every time a ref is close to me. Itâs not like Illinois isnât playing as aggressively on D as Loyola.
Ball donât lie
May not last. But thereâs something so satisfying about gamesâany sportâwhere the experts spend halftime telling you how the favored team is going to come back to crush the underdog. And it doesnât happen, and doesnât happen, and still. . . ?
