The main problem with this game is are Kispert and Timme gonna come back now?
Zags canāt guard them one on one. They switch screens, Timme gets hunted, they go under Baylor hits threes in their face. They play zone and itās a festival of open mid rangers.

Ayayi is the only one who can defend at this level.

This has become Iowa-Oregon. Gonzagaās actually played fairly well offensively over the last 20 minutes or so but canāt get any stops.

Gothca. Yea, there was a huge gap between an above average game from this years team and the few no shows they had. Because we saw that appear three or four times this year I had to leave the possiblity open, particularly without livers that it could happen again .
Also when I wrote that the Zags were getting ran out of the building, so I didnāt want it to come off that I was suddenly feeling cocky or overly bold due to what we were witnessing.
Baylor is balling. I keep thinking the Zags are gonna tighten it up and Baylor just keeps kicking it into high gear.
Baylor is just better in every facet of the game. Kind of tired of this āathleteā narrative. They just have guards who can get to the rim with great ball handling and then knockdown 3 pointers.
Doesnāt that imply their guards are very athletic (because they are).

Mitchell cooking Suggs on that drive was something. Suggs a pretty elite athlete

I just have really wanted Baylor to win because I donāt think Gonzaga deserves the undefeated hype. I donāt think theyāre on that level. A lot of teams they beat in the nonconference schedule ended up being overrated. And I just donāt think this Gonzaga team deserves ātop 5 team of all timeā type of hype. They are great, but not that great.

Maybe recency bias but if I had to pick 1 Zag and say āheās going to be a good NBA player, itās Ayayi.
Suggs has more than a little bit of inefficient volume guy for my taste.
Baylor is almost impossible to guard because they can all shoot.
They are plenty athletic but they have five guys who are basically 40% shooters. Thatās what allows them to get to the rim at will.
