2021 NCAA Tournament Open Thread

Michigan/Florida state is the lowest combined seeds of any S16 match up not that it means much.

yep, the only chalk matchup of the 8

Michigan is potentially on the path to play their toughest possible schedule in the tournament. Played 16 and then 8, will now play 4, and might play 2 in the Elite Eight, the #1 overall seed in the Final Four, and #2 overall seed in the title game.

It’s our payback for 2018

Obviously, we got a lot of bracket luck in 2018 (and I got to be in person for a lot of that run). It’s always survive and advance, so people who try to lessen a run because of bracket luck are missing the fundamental truth of the tournament, but no favors for us this year :man_shrugging:

Those Staples games were everything the Anaheim games weren’t.

Everything was wrong that week in Anaheim. The atmosphere was lacking, Michigan had to switch hotels, it was all just very mediocre.

We went drinking at some giant bar near the Staples, Novak came in with one of the nets around his neck, it was fantastic. The whole day was glorious.

Why did he let us run out the clock, though, in LA? That was strange.

That is a fair question.

This is stupid. It’s ridiculous that this is Bill Self’s “worst” season at Kansas.

You got a picture you can post? That sounds awesome.
