Not before the Illinois game they weren’t, which is what I said

He said before the Illinois game. The B1G was 6-3 at that point. Two lower seeds won, two higher seeds lost.

I’ve said this pre-tournament. I rather have our current draw as opposed to Illinois draw. Illinois would have to deal with a vastly underseeded Loyola-Chicago, a red hot Oklahoma State with future #1 overall pick, Cade Cunningham on their side of region while Michigan gets a meh LSU team and inconsistent Colorado/FSU team. Plus, Michigan could potentially face a double digit seed in the Elite 8.

That being said, haha to Illinois who got outplayed by Loyola-Chicago. Loyola showed why they have the best defense in the country by shutting down Ayo and frustrated Kofi by double teaming, great rotation, hedging hard, stunting, etc. It was a clinic by Loyola

I really hate Jim Boeheim’s guts

Syracuse tried to lose this game every which way at the end but WVU wouldn’t let them. Another top 3 seed Big 12 team goes down.

That’s a held ball? Are you kidding me?

Not giving up on this one: it is ridiculous that a team that is at best a coin flip year after year gets into the field every single time. Basic understanding of odds says that’s BS.

I don’t care how they perform, there’s no way they have been deserving each of these years.

Syracuse has two 11 seeds, including this year, and a 10 seed. Everything else is an 8 or better.

ETA: And they missed the tournament in 2015 and 2017.

I agree. The big ten is doing worse than barely underperforming.

The converse of this argument is that you would be happier if Illinois and Ohio State had won. I have no words for this.

ETA: In a perfect year, the Big Ten will go about 6-9 in the tournament, with ten teams in.

Loyola grad so no.

Arkansas has dumb uniforms IMO. The front of the jersey should say Arkansas or Hogs or Razorbacks or something. Not the pig logo. Looks like a knockoff hockey jersey. I don’t like the tusk things on the shorts either.

Agreed, it reminds me of the Michigan logo that just had the Block M on the front above the number.

Almost all announcers say it. It’s like it’s in the announcing guidebook.

Please get rid of the charge for secondary defenders stepping in late

I was too young to remember these but I know my dad hated them.

2015 was a self imposed ban :eyes:

So they’re 3 for 4. Am I wrong to think that each of those years they jumped multiple teams with markedly higher NET rankings? That still seems like a lot of benefit of the doubt to me :man_shrugging:

Rutgers has UH playing their game – both teams are well under 1 point per possession.

I think the Amaker teams rocked those sometimes too

They were bad. The stripes on the side did not help matters.

That was the Nike thing for awhile. UNC did it as well and it looked weird for them also.
