The NET was added in 2018-19, so it would only really have applied this year. In 2016 and 2018, they jumped teams with better RPIs, which is entirely different because the RPI was garbage.
The committee really isnât sitting around picking teams based upon their brand name. If they were, theyâd know that absolutely nobody outside of the Central New York region wants to see Syracuse get into the tournament, ever.
I feel like youâre making some valid points along with some questionable contentions. Syracuse has a very large fan base, plenty of which resides in the #1 television market in the country.
The refs in this TT-Ark game are gonna lose control of this game.
Rutgers playing with some fire (on defense).
I hate it when they call the shot clock violation on a ball as itâs falling into the hands of the defense, though.
We benefited from this in a pretty hilarious way against OSU IIRC.
OSU had the ball at the Michigan three point line on a fast break when they called shot clock violation on Michigan.
That sounds about right. Itâs still wrong when they do it, but I admit I donât get angry about it when it benefits Michigan.
It is just the rule though. If the other team hasnât gained full possession itâs a shot clock violation despite the ball falling into the hands of the other team.
Moses Moody is nice. That last shot he created and made was as NBA as it gets.
Oh man. Avery Queen, Josh Moore, Maurice Searight, Dom Ingerson ⌠Brian Ellerbe sure could pick âem.
I get night sweats looking at any remnant of those teams
Fair enough. Iâd argue that it should only be a violation if the offense has control of the ball. But the thing is, it very much seems to be a judgment call â sometimes theyâll let it go when the defense has an advantage, and sometimes they donât. Itâs like continuation, which doesnât exist in the NCAA rulebook, but seemingly gets allowed for everyone except Hunter Dickinson anyway.
Great Post! Did you know Ben Carter was an illustrator for Spongebob!!
McConnell just got elbowed in the face and got called for the foul, no flagrant on Houston. But Hunter gets called for a flagrant when he elbows a dudeâs armpit?
Exact same play, totally different call. Even Steratore called them differently. Donât get it.
This is the type of game that Rutgers want to get into. Muck it up into a dogfight against Houston and itâs working for Rutgers.
Somewhere Jim Delany is watching Rutgers carry the Big Ten banner: âKnew it all along!â
So random thought: Michigan plays slower than every other team coached by someone with NBA coaching pedigree. Do we think thatâs always the plan or just the nature of still having Beilein DNA and the presence of Dickinson?
i feel like the heat have never been an uptempo nba team either
edit: just looked it up bottom 5 last two years
