This comment caught my attention because I don’t think the Lakers did very much load management at all (even though you might have expected them to after playing as many games in the bubble as they did). They were simply injured, or in COVID protocol. Teams like the Clippers and even the Nets did a lot more taking games off per my eye.
I love them too actually.
I’m a suns fan but I love Beal. Guy deserves more praise. The last couple years he’s been pretty incredible.
I actually was going to make a decent sized bet on the Wizards over this year but I bailed last second and never went to the casino. I can’t remember what it was but I think it was right at 500. I would have gotten destroyed.
I actually like them as conference finals sleepers next year. If they add a few nice vets they could be very dangerous. Bryant back. Deni and rui a year older. Could be very tough.

Who do we got tonight in playoff games? No Levert= Hornets win hopefully. And hopefully the Wizards go off tonight vs Boston.
No Caris, no Turner, possibly no Brogdon. Hornets have to be able to win this one.
I lean toward the Wizards in game 2, but that is dependent on how healthy Beal is.
Someone should’ve told the Hornets about their chances to win tonight. They came out and fell flat on their faces tonight.

Yeah I think the youth of the Hornets is flaring up at the worst time possible. At least if the Pacers win then perhaps we can see Levert play.

Supposedly he has actual symptomatic Covid and it’s not just a contact tracing issue. Either way I think the NBA’s quarantine window means the Pacers would have to win the first round or push it to 7 before he could suit up.

Hornets losing this badly is ugly but some times when Doug McDermott and TJ McConnell score 35 on 20 shots in 3 quarters you just gotta tip your cap.
I wondered if Caris’ non-vaccination (assumption) would be due to his immune status after having the tumor removed in his kidney? Either way, sending healing vibes to Caris…young man has been through the book of Job - save the locusts.

TJ McConnell is really good. Great defensive backup PG. I like Detroiter Edmund Sumner too.
FWIW he might still have gotten vaccinated as it doesn’t 100% protect you from getting the virus, just from being terminated by it.
Source: Just finished up a week of hell (in terms of symptoms) in which I tested positive more than three weeks after my second Pfizer dose on April 21st. I saw 94% effective after second dose and 64% after first dose for the one I got.
edit: I want to clarify that a “week of hell” for me just means really bad flu symptoms. I realize I’m lucky in that that’s all I had when so many were worse off.

Haha very true and many thanks. It definitely is. I’ve got a cough and super sore throat, but pretty much everything else in the onslaught has subsided.
It’s a reminder that hey, this still exists. After my second dose I became way more complacent and lackadaisical. I mentioned on here that I took a trip to Florida to visit an old high school buddy. I don’t think it came from this (time doesn’t really match up), but I did email Delta upon testing positive.

That’s a useful list to stare at, for sure. People have long talked in these terms anyway, and it might be useful to standardize our use of them.
Just to quibble, though–those aren’t definitions, they’re labels. I would like to SEE the definitions, and here knowledgeable people debate them. What would be the difference between a hybrid and a combo guard, for example. Is/was Magic a hybrid and someone who can shoot well and run point a combo?
Those are a much better way to define roles/positions IMO.
