I think you’re onto something, G! Bet Dug would shut Trae down.
Happened to turn on the Sixers game in time to see them wrap both hands around their own throat and squeeze. Wow.
Simmons is getting absolutely shredded today. And it’s inarguable; I had to look closely to make sure he was even on the court. More consistent NBA watchers can help me, but isn’t this literally just a case that the guy can’t shoot and it’s destroying the rest of his game? I mean, that can’t be everything, because Giannis still hasn’t mastered the three and he’s just fine, but… Simmons treated the ball like poison last night.
It has been an issue in the last 3 playoff and Simmons hasn’t improved offensively. He’s a non-threat which made it easier for the Hawks to defend the Sixers. There is a reason why Morey was desperate to get rid of Simmons. He couldn’t get Harden because Tillman was petty
Carlisle is leaving Dallas. That makes a very attractive job and candidate out there. 7 openings at least this year. NBA coaches have a short tenure these days… looking at you Juwan.
I think the Bucks might be the favorite for Carlisle’s landing spot as soon as they’re done with the playoff. I don’t see any scenario where Bud can keep his job after the playoff unless they make the NBA Finals.
That’s a good call.
It’s really interesting that despite having the 3 times DPOY in Gobert, the Jazz went undone by small ball lineup once again. LAC, Rockets(twice) and Warriors. Gobert is a great rim protector and can guard bigs but when they go small, Gobert effectiveness seemed to wane.
Of course, it doesn’t help that Mitchell wasn’t 100% and Conley was hurt in this series against the LAC
I had forgotten all about Terance Mann before this series.
Exciting (albeit not pretty) Game 7. Was not impressed with Joe Harris’s ability to hit threes that aren’t blindingly wide open. Made me appreciate just how good a shooter Duncan is.
Wow, what a great series.
Game 7 OT between two teams who could win the title this year, in the conference semis.
I’m not an NBA slappy. I’ll check out when it’s boring. I’m not a huge fan of the league. This has been legit great stuff. No dominant team left, but… it’s going to be dramatic no matter what happens.
- Giannis
- Trae
- Embiid
- PG13
- CP3

Interesting question. I put CP3 over Trae because I figure Trae’s young enough that he’ll have his shots, but if you ignore age/opportuny definitely him.
Trae?! Trae?!?!
I’ll say it again, this is the best the NBA has been in forever and it’s only going to get better with the rise of Nikola Jokic, Doncic, Zion, and hopefully the Detroit Pistons (crossed fingers). Every team has genuine hope to accomplish things that that the Jazz, Suns, and Hawks achieved this season. If you’re panning the NBA for being a league with no parity you’re simply not paying attention,
Footy is my main sport and I’m simply amazed with myself that I’ve barely been following the Euros this year. I have watched every game of every international tournament since the 2002 World Cup and my interest is simply non-existant atm and I’m just glued to NBA basketball.
I’m surprised people don’t like Giannis more. He’s my favorite NBA player since Jordan. I just want him to get a ring so bad.
Also I was surprised by all the trae Young votes. He’s such a bad person. I don’t care how good he is, his attitude should never be tolerated in this game
I’m more of an Embiid guy for all his flaws but yeah I don’t get why more folks weren’t into Giannis. Fascinating player and totally compelling guy.
I love Embid too. Even in college. So I’m with you on that. But as you said, Giannis is just so unique, that I want him to live to his full potential. I feel similar with Luka
I don’t even know how to respond to this. Honestly don’t even know what you could possibly be referring to.
Anybody who gets how important it is to be a great heel is excellent for the game
Happy Giannis and the Bucks were able to win game 6 and 7. Giannis is a great story and to think after his rookie year the Bucks drafted Jabari over Embiid. I am not sure how Giannis/Embiid would have worked as a front court maybe they would have been the new twin towers. Instead it took a lot of time but 4 wins away from the finals is right there for them.
