2020 Transfer Market

Depaul has significant ties to meanstreets too and that’s who he played for

Valpo is only an hour away

Depending on what part of Chicago he’s from can make any of those colleges much closer than Valpo. Northern Chicago isn’t too far from Marquette or Northwestern. If he’s closer to downtown then obviously DePaul. Illinois is the only one that’d be tough to logically argue for geographically.

His 247 profile says he went to Whitney Young, which according to Google is a magnet school just northwest of UIC.

I hope Yak can pull that off

That’s barely more than an hour from Whitney Young. If he does live in that area the only schools that make sense are Depaul, Northwestern and UIC

Don’t forget the Chicago State Cougars

Loyola too.

Any relation to Marcus Liberty, late 80s Illinois star?

If we haven’t already sent him a recommended Waze route to Yak’s office, we as a forum have already failed.

Someone tweet this at JFL!

Detroit kid. Not sure he’s what Michigan needs but could be one to follow

Sounds like his situation went sour quickly at UNLV.

Not saying I blame a kid for looking for better opportunity but he left Cass Tech for Findlay Prep, now working on his 3rd college in 3 years and 5th different school in six years. I don’t know the kid one bit but I think those could be things to consider in looking at taking a transfer.

You don’t have any sympathy for his “chronic lateness issues”??

I live in Salt Lake City and follow Utah basketball closely. You didn’t have to read between the lines very far to see the program regretted taking him on and was pleased to move on from him. Now he’s leaving UNLV. There’s an awful lot of smoke surrounding the kid.

I really really liked Tillman out of HS. Thought he could be like Draymond Green. Too bad it didn’t work out. Would have taken him after Utah, but don’t think I’d take him now. Especially with leaders like Teske and Simpson gone.

Big new name on the market. Career 15 PPG scorer and has been Miami of Ohio’s best player since joining the team. Already contacted by Kentucky, sit-one, play-one, if the waiver doesn’t pass.

If the waiver does pass he’s maybe worth a look. I watched him quite a few times in high school and didn’t think he was good enough. But a few years have passed and maybe he’s a much better player now.
