My body is ready:
I say âFritaâ You say âBatido.â âFritaâ âBatido!â âFritaâ âBatido!â LOVE that place! Zingermanâs too!
Balas really pushing the narrative that heâd be shocked if he ever suited up for UM.
Balas is terrible, his act has run old, especially in regards to b-ball recruiting coverage
Thatâs false
Frita batidos is the only place in the world where you can order the veggie burger instead of the meat and it just doesnât matter. I love that place so much.
This actually makes me feel better, Balas is consistently wrong
Based on the buzz out there, thereâs no way that Toddâs camp hasnât looked into and been in contact with teams overseas. However, Mrs. Toddâs activeness in the recruitment seems to make that option less likely? Itâs also incredibly uncommon for a kid to commit to a school and then jump overseas later on. The only similar example I can think of was Darius Bazley doing the G League instead of Syracuse (and then ultimately didnât play anywhere).
Fwiw thereâs also been rumblings on uk and unc boards that Toddâs mom was one of the reasons they backed off. Supposedly she is very demanding but she seems to love Michigan(sort of Aubrey Solomon mom like).
As others have mentioned though, if he commits to Michigan and ends up overseas, its gonna be heartbreaking. BUT in that case, maybe the residual effect of Toddâs commitment allows Juwan to score another commitment or two, so in the end its still a positive.
Yeah but Mudiay had eligibility issues with the NCAA. He went to Deionâs sham of a HS, Prime Prep Academy, and it was likely he wasnât going to qualify academically.
Todd could look closely at how Hampton and Ballâs experience goes overseas in The Australian league and see if he may want to follow their same path.
Brandon Jennings and Terrence Ferguson were both committed to Arizona.
I keep reading these kinds of sentiments, and I just donât know if I buy in. To me itâs similar to a prospect having Michigan in their final list but ultimately choosing another school. Sure, he liked usâŚenough to go somewhere else.
I think that the difference is that his decision to go overseas would happen after the residual effects of a commitment. I doubt he will commit next Thursday and then decide to go overseas on Friday. I donât think anyone is arguing that his decision to go overseas will help Michiganâs recruiting at all, just that the initial commitment could have positive benefits before he decides to go overseas.
Exactly. What iâm referring to is the importance of the time frame between Toddâs hypothetical Michigan commitment, and when he would hypothetically announce he is going overseas. That would likely be more than enough time for Juwan to score a commitment or two, and with Todd on board during that time, it would make recruiting a lot easier.
What is a relaistic recruiting class going to look like?
I donât wanna get too far ahead but I feel like Zeb, Todd, Dickinson, Moody, and Jace is one loaded class that feels at least possible
But at the same time, Zeb, Jace, and none of the above is also possible
From my read, those guys plus Nimari are the plan As we have a realistic shot at. Weâd be willing to take all 6 I think. If we have empty spots after all those guys are committed the replacements will be guys weâve never heard of
