I say “Frita” You say “Batido.” “Frita” “Batido!” “Frita” “Batido!” LOVE that place! Zingerman’s too!

Balas really pushing the narrative that he’d be shocked if he ever suited up for UM.

Balas is terrible, his act has run old, especially in regards to b-ball recruiting coverage

That’s false

Frita batidos is the only place in the world where you can order the veggie burger instead of the meat and it just doesn’t matter. I love that place so much.

This actually makes me feel better, Balas is consistently wrong

Based on the buzz out there, there’s no way that Todd’s camp hasn’t looked into and been in contact with teams overseas. However, Mrs. Todd’s activeness in the recruitment seems to make that option less likely? It’s also incredibly uncommon for a kid to commit to a school and then jump overseas later on. The only similar example I can think of was Darius Bazley doing the G League instead of Syracuse (and then ultimately didn’t play anywhere).

Fwiw there’s also been rumblings on uk and unc boards that Todd’s mom was one of the reasons they backed off. Supposedly she is very demanding but she seems to love Michigan(sort of Aubrey Solomon mom like).

As others have mentioned though, if he commits to Michigan and ends up overseas, its gonna be heartbreaking. BUT in that case, maybe the residual effect of Todd’s commitment allows Juwan to score another commitment or two, so in the end its still a positive.

Yeah but Mudiay had eligibility issues with the NCAA. He went to Deion’s sham of a HS, Prime Prep Academy, and it was likely he wasn’t going to qualify academically.

Todd could look closely at how Hampton and Ball’s experience goes overseas in The Australian league and see if he may want to follow their same path.

Brandon Jennings and Terrence Ferguson were both committed to Arizona.

I keep reading these kinds of sentiments, and I just don’t know if I buy in. To me it’s similar to a prospect having Michigan in their final list but ultimately choosing another school. Sure, he liked us…enough to go somewhere else.

I think that the difference is that his decision to go overseas would happen after the residual effects of a commitment. I doubt he will commit next Thursday and then decide to go overseas on Friday. I don’t think anyone is arguing that his decision to go overseas will help Michigan’s recruiting at all, just that the initial commitment could have positive benefits before he decides to go overseas.

Exactly. What i’m referring to is the importance of the time frame between Todd’s hypothetical Michigan commitment, and when he would hypothetically announce he is going overseas. That would likely be more than enough time for Juwan to score a commitment or two, and with Todd on board during that time, it would make recruiting a lot easier.

What is a relaistic recruiting class going to look like?

I don’t wanna get too far ahead but I feel like Zeb, Todd, Dickinson, Moody, and Jace is one loaded class that feels at least possible

But at the same time, Zeb, Jace, and none of the above is also possible

From my read, those guys plus Nimari are the plan As we have a realistic shot at. We’d be willing to take all 6 I think. If we have empty spots after all those guys are committed the replacements will be guys we’ve never heard of
