This is also true. But playing that scenario out in a timeline …
…hypothetically if Michigan makes a HC hire by the end of the month (a fast tracked process), the new HC takes about a week to set a staff. Early June those guys are looking for jobs — how long before they find a PowerConference opening? It would probably take another PowerConference HC to fire one of his Assistants to open a slot. So, what early July is likely the quickest one finds another position. Summer term at UM starts July 3…most FR usually start then and half a 1/2 term under their belt before Fall Classes start.
Not saying one of them couldn’t poach Wilson or Bajema, but the timeline is working against them…and that’s assuming they end up at a PowerConference school with a scholarship available for 2019-20.
It is not a very good sign. These guy are kids so it could mean something or nothing. Let’s be realistic though, there could be a good chance we lose him.
He still follows a bunch of current Michigan players, coaches and team accounts (and only follows 66 accounts total). If he was doing some pre-meditated clean-up as a confirmation that he was leaving, I’d suspect unfollows are a bigger sign.
not a good sign for anything. He must have not liked the list of potential coaches for Michigan this all leads me to believe Yak is going to Cleveland with JB. Frustrating time to be a Michigan fan.
Ugh. That’s going to hurt. It’s possible we could have only 9 scholarship players on the roster next season and 6 or 7 2020 scholarships to fill. That’s where a great recruiter could be helpful.
I wouldn’t blame any current guys if they transfer. But I would love them more if they stay. It would be awesome if Iggy bombs out at the combine and comes back, but why would anything good happen
