Yeah we haven’t really seen the waivers in basketball very often, but football appears to be open season now where almost every appeal is granted.
Immediately eligibility use to be handed out with health issues within your family, especially when transferring close to home. When Justin Fields transferred from Georgia to Ohio State, he claimed racism. There was a baseball player at UGA that make racist comments about him on social media.
I know that mental health is a huge issue right now and I think that’s something the NCAA or schools want to mess with. An athlete could mental anguish and it’s very hard to dispute it.
also think ncaa didnt wanna touch racism
But what about Tate Martell? He got a waiver when basically all that happened was a change of coach and a potential loss of a starting job.
Obviously racism is not something someone should have to deal with, I was just giving an example. Not exactly sure how Martell became eligible at Miami.
Liked Proctor’s game for a potential off guard spot but I would think Purdue would be able to make a pretty good sell to a volume shooter who isn’t quite a PG. “Just watch Carsen Edwards play.”
Daughter goes to High Point, Proctor is a great kid but probably not a fit for Michigan I am betting on West Virginia as its close to home and he has a young child.
Was this ever posted? Michigan had been linked to Ingram previously as well. Looks like it’ll be Pierce or bust when it comes to grad transfers.
If he’s visiting Western Kentucky, he’s not a Beilein guy,
You mean Western Kentucky didn’t sign Charles Bassey fair and square…
Ingram is a grades issue I believe.
Big news for Marquette right after getting Markus Howard back.
I guess all those “Marquette is a top 5 team!!!” Articles can be thrown in the trash, where they should have been all along.
Is the older one immediately eligible?
Could be huge news for Wisconsin too… Or even Michigan State?
Does MSU have scholarship room for two players?
Right now, no.
Can see Ward leaving. Not sure about anyone else
The “and/or” seems important in the tweet as well.
The Hauser brothers do not exactly seem like Tom Izzo type guys.
If older brother is a grad transfer, does Beilein immediately put the press on him? Seems like a 6 foot 8 shooter with high-major experience would be literally perfect
