April is first evaluation period Matt?? I always thought May and July were?
I’m just not high on his high school competition. Would love to see how he reacts to someone equally as good if not better than him.

As you know, evaluation period is relevant to coaches, not recruiting sites. His ranking is determined by the respective site analysts/scouts. Hopefully JB offers soon and the rankings are adjusted accordingly.
Yeah I was more going off when coaches can see him against top competition.
Then again I’m the one waiting to see him against top comp they might not be. I’m glad JB is making an effort to show his face and evaluate
Hopefully, I’ll have some more regarding Cain in the coming weeks/month.
Cain’s athleticism alone makes him a definite roster upgrade. Will be very happy if he garners an offer.
He can also shoot it from deep consistently.
Chez, his length and verticality are impressive for a HS junior. His vert is 37inches, which is above average/good at the college level. Also, a plus rebounder for a wing.
Absolutely NO reason to not offer Cain and D Tillman. Absolutely NONE.
Visit from JB to Cain went very well
Good to hear.
How many times is it gonna take to watch this kid play and still make no offer. John Beilien is quoted on that ESPN story about Austin Hatch saying" I knew after the first time I went down to watch him play I was going to offer" but this kid in your own backyard continues to get slow played THE NATIVES are very frustrated.
JSmith - i’m as critical as anyone on JB. IMO, if we’re patient, I think an offer may come.
We’re showing a lot more interest in Cain than any other B1G teams. Re: Hatch, obviously, he liked Hatch early on. JMo, too. And Winston. It’s not a Detroit thing, it’s a player thing.
I’m with Sane on this one. I think JB is doing this the right way. I know he is an upgrade in athleticism from what we have but that doesn’t mean he is what we need.
It’s official you guys - Cain running with the family
Good to hear. What do u think of Broome mattd. I’m very interested in adding his skill set. Apparently he blew up late in high school and got bigger offers but wanted garunteed playing time. They said he put up big numbers in high school and aau against big competition. I don’t think it’s s fluke or that he’s just living off small schools. I think he could turn into a nice scorer for us and play at a high level here. I really hope they push for Broome. Him Poole and young would be nice. I’d like to see coach b get into the transfers more. Adding a proven commodity every class or two could really make up for lack of top shelf hits. Don’t need to be Iowa st but different ways to skin a cat
I guess this means the high-major offers should start flowing in soon (assuming he is reasonably productive at that level)? Which, in turn, may mean that M would no longer be a lock for his services if and when they do offer.
Just don’t think backup PG is a position of need. That scholarship is simply too valuable to expend on a player with limited impact. I would much rather have Broome in relation to West though.
I think its just a matter of time for Cain. His combination of length, athleticism and skill is what coaches covet. He’s going to get the ultimate level of exposure now.
Hopefully we can lock him up quick then.
Would you take Thornton (if there was interest) over Cain?
