2016 - Forward Recruiting (Seth Towns, etc.)

Michigan is certainly not going to compromise the ethics and reputation of the program to get better recruits. They are too profitable to go down that path right now and does not warrant a push IMO. The team has been winning with the current system and I expect them to stay the course with recruiting and success. Go blue!

Why does this narrative exist that UM has to '‘compromise the ethics’ in order to recruit better? Just an excuse in my opinion. We don’t have to compromise ethics, we simply have to recruit better.

New film on Cook. Looks like he took off some of the bad weight, looks to be in much better shape

Towns went for 47…think he is underranked by all sites save ESPN

Northland's @seth_towns17 set a record for most points in a game last night, record previously held by @Jared_Sully0 http://t.co/UIgBgl17la

New film on Towns dropping 37 & 20 over the weekend…by far the most atheltic and explosive film I’ve seen of Towns in terms of verticality, lateral agility, and straight line speed. He’s looked more athletic with seemingly every new piece of footage. He’s basically transitioned from a poor athelete into a below average/average athlete. I’m a huge fan of his game…I’m telling you this kid is way undervalued by the recruiting sites, hoping the staff is able to land Towns

Dylan - I’m telling you this kid can play the 3

Final: Northland 93, Mifflin 72 Seth Towns finishes with 37 points, 20 rebound, three assists, two blocks and two steals

Towns still claims no leaders, but hearing from the usual suspects a lot

Seth Towns (24) and DJ Tyree combine for 41 points as Northland defeats Centennial, 70-57. Joe Thomas with 24 in the loss

Towns is a super important recruit right now. We simply can’t strike out on all of our top wing and pg targets in 2016.

I would take Towns over Cook any day; he looks to have Caris like skills.

2 totally different skill sets. Towns isn’t anywhere near as athletic as Caris, but is probably an inch or 2 taller, better shooter off the dribble at the same age. Towns has a very underrated handle that is seemingly improving.

Cook is a pure post player capable of hitting shots out to 17 feet. Cook is a very good offensive player with nimble feet and deceptive verticality, along with the ability to finish with either hand. Cook would be a true post threat at the 4 with legit size.

PG is the most important position we fill in 16, followed by creator/wing. Don’t know if Towns is a creator as of yet, but I think he can play the 3. Need elite level players at both positions regardless of Brown (will be one and done).

I just watched the first half of Cooks High School team on TV, still not impressed.

Here is a guy that should be on the radar; a big that is not allergic to the paint and very athletic.

He is the # 4 recruit in Canada for the class of 2016

Ace - I broke down entire game film of Cook during the summer, and took out the time to mark the exact time in which Cook-centric highlights occurred. Search the board, should be easy to find. Take a look and tell me what you think.

Ace - here it is

This is what I love to hear out of any big…DUNK ANY AND EVERYTHING NEAR THE DAMAN BASKET INSTEAD OF GOING UP SOFT!

Tyler Cook has big strong meat hooks and all he wants to do after catching the ball is try and tear the rim down. #hoophall
