No inside info - but Towns seems to be struggling with where his heart lies vs. his other options. In other words deep down he wants to be a Buckeye but he also wants to make a smart business decision as well. If he comes to the conclusion that he has as much of a chance at playing time and success at OSU as his other options, seems likely he goes scarlet and grey.
The longer Towns delays a decision, the better for UM in my opinion.
I think we have a decent shot with Towns. Academics are big with the Towns family, it's not just BS with his camp. Im a fan of his game, hopefully the early "love" will pay off
I hope so too. At some point we have to get some good fortune, right? Itās been rough watching so many great players go elsewhereā¦we sure could use some good recruiting mojo right about now.

Really couldāve used Donte Grantham this year. I know a lot of people laughed at me for being so high on him last year (he was way under ranked in my view) mostly on the basis that he couldnāt shoot. Iāve watched him a few times this year and the kid can play, heās not a great shooter, but heās certainly much better than most gave him credit for. Great rebounder for being a freshman, excellent on ball and help side defender. Really wish we couldāve swapped DJ for Grantham. Staff went all in, just didnāt go our way
Donāt Grantham and Chatman play the same position? Iāll take Kam 10 times out of 10 if itās one or the other.

Grantham has the ability to the play the 3 because heās a better shooter than Kam. Agree that Kam has more upside than Grantham, but right now itās not even close, Grantham is the more effective player on both ends of the court. As far as a Grantham/Wilson comparison, thatās laughable in retrospect, Grantham is FAR ahead of Wilson in every aspect of the game.
Two weeks ago you said DJ Wilson would be starting by B1G play
Grantham looks like a solid player early on, but DJ hasnāt caught many breaks with injuries. The broken pinkie before Italy really cost him I think⦠Heās gonna need some time.

I think you may have mistaken me for someone else, Iāve NEVER said anything about DJ Wilson startingā¦ever. Iāve never been a big fan of his game, although he has impressed me with his ability to hedge and recover, and lateral movement in general. From his HS film, I thought he would be much better vertically, but heās really not all that good vertically, heās just long. This was quite evident to me when he was rejected by a Nova wing playerā¦DJ barely got off the ground. There were people around here claiming he would be a 2 and done when I was skeptical. Iād be surprised if DJ wasnāt around for a full 4 years from what Iāve seen so far. Itās going to be a struggle for him to be a starter until heās a junior at minimum because heās not going to overtake Doyle/Donnal at the 5, and he isnāt going to overtake Kam at the 4, and I donāt think he has the skillset necessary to play the 3
Looks like Cook is playing well coming off injury
Chaminade 33 CBC 23 HALF Sam Orf closed the half with a 3. Tyler Cook played only 7 minutes but led all scorers with 12.

Sam Webb said this morning that Towns was the one recruit he felt the most optimistic with out of the 16 offers.
Iāve maintained for a while that Towns is the one guy we have a legit shot withā¦academics are huge for him. Donāt feel so good about DT or anyone else right now. With the way our season has gone so far, landing Towns along with Teske is a very good class.

Certainly have reined in my expectations for now. With all the early buzz ( Leaf, Battle, DTJR ) seemingly favorable to us, it is now obvious we are not getting any of them, IMO. Happy to get Teske and potentially Towns, but this class desperately needs a PG and an athletic wing.
We just need better recruiting periodā¦that pretty much sums it up. Donāt care about the logic as to why we canāt get more talent, we just need more of it.

If we could give cookies on here, youād have a couple dozen by about now. Wish that was a featureā¦

Im the guy that you love to hate, but im also that guy that makes you say āI hate that son of a bitch, but heās rightā. My track record is pretty good. Iāve certainly been wrong, but not muchā¦and you hate that.

ā¦I couldnāt care less if youāre actually right or wrong.
Michigan is certainly not going to compromise the ethics and reputation of the program to get better recruits. They are too profitable to go down that path right now and does not warrant a push IMO. The team has been winning with the current system and I expect them to stay the course with recruiting and success. Go blue!
