Not sure how we would utilize a 5’10’’ freshman PG next few years with Walton/Spike/Nik/Caris/Chatman all being ball screen centric players?

Just saw an article on CBS Sports ( Jeff Borzello ) that says we have offered Trevor Manuel for '15. I know he’s been on campus, so that would fit the criteria, but I wasn’t under the impression that we had offered yet. I’m starting to believe that the coaches feel they have a real shot with both Coleman and Brunson, that is probably why Davis hasn’t had the full court press as of date.
Manuel is MSU or one of the Carolina schools IMO. Doesn’t really fit our system.
How on Earth could you want Brunson over Coleman or Davis? Any why would you sign a backcourt of 6’3’’ and below players?
I’d rather JB find a wing with raw potential and size in 2014 and develop them than taking a small off-guard. Really wish Dozier, Kennard or Bacon aren’t totally out of the picture.

Haven’t heard anyone else outside of Manuel confirm that offer and when have we went and watched him play? Odd.
In state kid originally. Part of those great Lansing Sexton teams a few years back, Valentine & Clemmons amongst others. I would be very skeptical of the offer as well, and would think that Izzo has him if he really wants him. Carlton Valentine ( MSU player ) is Denzells dad, and was the coach of that team. I’m just like you when it comes to wing size, but as of now we have no offers out to anybody over 6’5".
Are we still looking at Marqwell Jackson out of Detroit for 14?
