NCAA 2021: Michigan vs. LSU Open Thread

I thought TWill had a better cut to the rim off of a Hunter post touch than Johns has had all year. He can do some really important and subtle things. The press break though :face_with_head_bandage:

After crunching numbers and rewatching some film, Michigan should try and score more than lsu in the 2nd and they should be fine.

In all seriousness, the extra pads 3 is always there and they can back door cut to the basket as well. Hope they go in another slump to start the half and we should be able to jump out to a lead.

I would be okay with scoring the same number of points as LSU in the second half.

LSU’s defense being so bad has A LOT to do with their foul aversion. So many times in that half where they would back off on a drive so as not to foul. They’re unwilling to make any sort of contest that’s even a little questionable

Lifetime pass, my friend.

Also, I feel like I can’t get away with Smart’s receding hair into mini locks even though our hairline is similar. Never say never though. A future pandemic may give me just the opportunity to try.

Kudos to Howard and staff for pressing the pedal to the medal, even though we were down big and playing sloppy and hesitant. Seems we caught up by speeding our game up.

TWill was clearly looking for that post entry every time he had the ball, too. Hunter was doubled or tripled already every time, though,

Ours feels sustainable, theirs … I guess maybe because they’re them? A huge number of contested shots by them have fallen.

I’ve never really seen anything like it. Tweeted something similar. Kind of weird to watch.

Their man guys just don’t contest shots. Hyatt is the one guy who gets after it on D, or anyone off the bench.

Honestly I feel like they’re making the exact amount of contested shots they usually make.

Maybe that’s just the scared Michigan fan in me talking.

FSU and Colorado are putting on an offensive clinic. 11-11 with under 9 minutes to go in the first half.

Well, Hunter has zero fouls, so it may be a little difficult to get him in foul trouble. Although, as I say that, I remember that the second half will be called completely unlike the first. :sob:

I didn’t understand why he was in that spot for the press break. Brown isn’t a great ball handler either, buy better than TWill.

Every Michigan NCAA run has a dogfight in the 2nd or 3rd round. Then a blowout follows

Could be. Though Thomas doesn’t shoot over 50%. (If he did, he’d average like 45 points a game - seriously).

My reaction, how the hell is cam Thomas not a consensus lottery pick?

IIRC, he had 1 at halftime of our last game. (Shaking uncontrollably).
