I think Michigan’s got a great coaching staff, top to bottom, and I hope that when the departures inevitably occur, Coach Howard can find replacements of the same caliber.

Eisley should be getting calls to be the HC. He has plenty of experience and having that experience coaching under Juwan in college level should be an asset. I’m surprised that mid-major school hasn’t tried to poach him yet.

Martelli got a raw deal at St Joes and their loss is our gain. Likely Eisley and Saddi aren’t long for Michigan and that’s great for them

I don’t think he’d go for a mid major job. Considering the B1G just hired 2 assistants I’d be looking for something like that if I were him

The great thing is that by the time those departures happen, Juwan will have gained valuable experience and has shown he can stand on his own feet. And now that he’s a proven winner, good assistants will want to work with him.
That’s a good point. With the #1 recruiting class coming in, I’m glad that Eisley will stay in for at least one more year to coach up Zeb and Frankie and whoever is the incoming transfer at PG.

If we had lost this all the blame would have been placed on Juwan and every mistake would have been referred to as “Howard shouldn’t have done …blah blah blah”. When we win it’s “The coaching staff did a great job at doing this”

You should hear me get fired up with opposing fan bases at Crisler. Especially when I have a couple of BIG former players with me I can say some pretty hilarious things, probably not becoming though of a little silver haired 74 year old gentleman, but, you know, sort of intellectual, not stupid or crude or obscene stuff!
