I mean, I guess it’s possible that there are people who still think that and aren’t joking about it, but it was odd when RCMB came up with it, and it’d be odd if somebody else independently did the same thing.
Couldve sworn I saw Michigan run a 1-3-1 that confused FSU for a least a few plays
It’s funny that none of the “Martelli is Michigan’s real coach” guys are advocating that someone hire Martelli away from us.
Those who are saying Phil Martelli is running this team need to take a flying leap. You can book BJJ will be back next year also
Also guarding the perimeter ball handler to prevent them from running their side-to-side ball screen action.
Huge win for this team! Onto Tuesday night
BJJ finally came out of his own shell, and I cannot wait to see what a senior BJJ is capable of next season.
I was also curious about Michigans offensive sets that picked apart that low post area.
FSU isn’t that type of team to take advantage of Austin’s lack of athleticism on defense so Austin was huge in that game. He made a good pass to Chaundee for an easy 2 which was surprising but I welcomed it because he’s usually a blackhole on offense.
I can wait. I’d like to wait three more games, actually.
I was at the FSU Elite 8 game. If you’d told me that Michigan would win a rematch in three years by dominating them in the paint, I’d have looked at you like you had three heads.
It was nice that, on a day when we had trouble finishing in traffic (at least for the first 30 min) Davis still pulled out the old Mikan drill on them.
BJJ played great in the 1st half. He was assertive and aggressive. He made smart plays. We finally get to see BJJ playing well in multiple stretches of game and it took a Livers injury for it to happen but better now than never.
Honestly, there aren’t much to nitpick in this game and Michigan simply had their way on offense in the 2nd half. I get surprised if they missed a shot in the 2nd half which speak to how well they have been playing in that half. Great team win and Juwan definitely outcoached Hamilton. I can’t wait for the E8 game on Tuesday night!
I look at it like this…we all know Juwan is running the show, but we also know that we likely have the best #2 in CBB. I kind of like when they say it’s Martelli
They sell out their home games, though. It’s a small arena and a very genteel crowd–not necessarily students–but they make a lot of noise. Appreciation of ACC bball is part of an almost separate culture in Tallahassee. Hopefully we start selling out Crisler routinely with Juwan firmly at the helm.
That was an adjustment that I’ve noticed in this game and it was smart. Hunter and Davis sealed off their man for an easy basket. Their execution has been great on the hi-low and they didn’t force it which is a good thing.
Read Brendan’s article. Sounds like Eisley is the number two, possibly by some way.
WHO is Dennis Wisnewski!?! Serious, I have NO idea who he is. Is he someone who thinks his opinion means ANYTHING to normal fans? Or is he some comedian turned basketball commentator? Now, having said that, Phil Martelli is fantastic, a great basketball mind, but so are Saddi and Howard Eisley, and the entire staff!
Yeah I’m fine with that. I think my point is having a great coaching staff is a good thing. Who cares what a bunch of people say. Juwan brought those guys in for a reason
