Anybody is capable, the question is do we have legitimate options on a consistent basis. You cite ONE game against UA, but what about Duke, Stanford, FSU games? Was he useless in those games? One decent game doesn’t negate subpar performances that are much more frequent than an outlier from a guy that has shown very little improvement since his freshman year.

Happy New Years to you as well, and for the entire board too. We all have our differences in opinion from time to time, but I very much enjoyed the dialogue with the UM Hoops community and the passion for which we all have for this team.
From a philosophical standpoint, I think you can get away with with having a perimeter based offense, but it’s very hard to have sustained success without consistent rim protection and strong rebounding unless your perimeter defense generates turnovers consistently. Just my take on it.
In terms of the bigs situation - I would compare it to the RB situation with the football team - yeah we have a lot of bodies/depth, but no quality. So the depth means very little in terms of production.
I do agree, as most on here do, but there aren’t a ton of defensive anchors out there that can come in ready without a year or two of development and those that are, always go to the bluebloods. We have to get there first and until then stay optimistic.
