He’s young and needs time to strengthen and transition into the League. He’s playing against men now…huge step up in physicality. It took Duncan two years of hard work and dedication, the same will be needed from JP…nothing given, everything earned! I think he makes it if he hones his skills.

L.A. Clippers – Derrick Walton’s recent cameo in Sacramento was likely a screen test to see if he’s worth guaranteeing next week. The Clippers are only $1.86 million from the tax line and likely to be a strong destination for bought out veterans (or unretiring veterans, in the case of Darren Collison), and L.A. has four other point guards on the roster … all of which may seal Walton’s fate despite a relatively solid 170 minutes for the Clips this year.

Yeah that’s a tough position for him. As it says, the Clippers are gonna be near the top for any vet that’s bought out. I hope he gets it.

As unfair as it will seem if he does get cut, his strong play will probably get him a spot on another NBA team. Hopefully in a bigger role.

Good for Dwalt, but kind of a travesty that Burke is only making marginally more this year when they’re both playing for contenders and Burke’s minutes and contributions are significantly more.
