Trying to get an NBA job?
lol is it really?
SL rosters are almost always 1st and 2nd year NBA players who arenāt STARS yet with backends filled out with the teamās G League affiliate. DJ is on their G League affiliate
Did you forget about the Wags?
Did you forget about the last sentence?
Might need an emergency @kturnup Kobe in Atlanta pulse check
I just flipped on the Hawks game for the first time to find out heās 1 for 9 and the announcers are just DESTROYING him. āHeās not even playing basketball, all heās doing is pre-determining that he will try to scoreā
Bufkin really struggling again
Gillespie getting a two way and zavier never getting one is something
Kobe on fire ever since we called it out
I canāt say Iāve watched much of any of it, but Iām wildly impressed by the offseason energy available to (over)react to each minute of summer league.
Yup, I donāt react too much on the summer league. Itās not really representative of how theyāll play in the NBA regular season.
For example, a lot of people were harping on Trae Young when he shot under 30% in the summer league in his rookie year and he turned out just fine.
Unclear where to ask this, but re NBA Cup ā are Cup games also regular season games, just certain games that happen to also count toward the Cup?
Itās not a bad idea at all to increase the value of a few early season gamesā¦but I was kind of hoping to see the Cup games completely separated from regular season, so that you could see a team like the Mavericks (not a championship contender) consider the possibility of making a conscious choice to prioritize the Cup.
All but the semis and finals are regular season I believe
I thought it was just the āgroupā phase games
so quarters/semi/finals would be additive?
yeah I think thatās right
> How does the In-Season Tournament affect the regular season?
Every team will still play an 82-game regular season. All In-Season Tournament games will count toward the regular-season standings except the Championship, which will sit outside the regular season.
I didnāt see anything about Kobe. I crashed last night at like 10 so Iāmma have to catch up on the word. but itās not shocking to me that Kobe is gonna need a year to marinate. He always kind of predetermined his reads on PNRs
It was weird. Honestly didnāt watch the entire game. But I did see that early second quarter stretch where the announcers were railing him pretty hard. Kobe missed a contested jumper, then on the next three consecutive possessions tried to drive into traffic and missed three wild contested lay-up attemptsā¦never once attempting to set-up the offense or get others involved. I couldnāt watch any more after that, so I am extremely glad to hear he settled down afterwards and had a pretty good game overall. I think heāll be fine in the long run. Could be some opportunity as after Tre and Murray, the Hawks currently donāt really have much in the backcourt.
and Tre and Murray donāt leave many available minutes
