The Orlando Wolverines
Mo and Iggy combining for 100 points confirmed
Moe might get broken in half if he has to guard Stewart.
If the Pistons donât lose out, Iâm gonna be so mad
tanking doesnât work as effective as it used to be
Sure, but youâre already deep in it. No reason to half-asss it and end up 5th or 6th.
Itâs funny because they changed the lottery odds to try to discourage tanking, but I think the change actually has caused more teams to try to tank, not less. In the past if you fell way behind for the top pick, you might not try to lose because youâd never catch the worst team. But now the 3 worst records all get the same lottery odds so you only need to shoot to land in the bottom 3 to have the best odds at #1. There are like 6 different teams in play for the bottom 3 right now and all of them except for Minnesota seem to be openly tanking.
the only way to eliminate tanking is that all teams who fail to make the play-offs will get the same odds for the top three picks.
My name should be next to Okaforâs. Iâm not with the team, neither.
You can put my name with Plumleeâs too. The only reason Iâm not suiting up for the Pistons tonight is because I am resting.
Load management is key for preparing for the offseason.
Lot of soreness going around too. Can confirm the only reason I didnât make it to the league is due to chronic Injury/Illness - Left Ankle: Soreness.
Itâs just ridiculous. At this point, they just need my mom to come up with the designations.
Mason Plumlee | Out | Because I Said So, Thatâs Why
You can mark me down as âinjury/illness - eyes bleedingâ after watching multiple Pistons games from start to finish last week
Just stay away from Tigers games. Those will put you on the 45 day DL. Then youâll have nothing to do all summer butâŚwatch more Tigers games!
Iâve actually enjoyed watching the Pistons this year. The young guys are fun and play hard. So much more entertaining (and hope for the future) than the middling teams of the past few years that would make the playoffs and get swept.
I think the new rules are mostly to discourage years of tanking like the 76ers. It was worth it to be the worst team in the league for a few years in a row because of the way the odds shook out. Under new rules, you might get lucky twice but your odds of getting a top 3 pick multiple years in a row is not as good as it once was. You could try, but youâll probably just be tanking your franchise.
Either way, Iâm hoping for some good karma in the lottery. Pistons have never moved up with their own pick (Darko year was the Grizzliesâ pick IIRC). Theyâve only ever moved down or stood pat. And the team tries really hard regardless of who is and isnât playing. We almost drafted too well as Stewart and Bey look like solid players at this level and Hayes is coming along slowly, but Iâm more confident in him being a good NBA PG now than I was at the beginning of the season.
100% the same. Youâve got two guys who already look to be total steals compared to where they were drafted in Bey and Stewart (Even better that most pundits were dissing the latter pick) and a third in Hayes who is certainly flashing exactly why he was drafted with his passing acumen despite suffering an injury that kept him out much of the year. Itâs an exciting time and even if the Pistons canât fade for Cade, getting someone like Jalen Green would fill out their roster incredibly. Hayes-Green-Bey-Grant-Stewart/Plumlee isnât going to be taking the world by storm immediately, but to me itâs the type of lineup that with proper development and a solid bench finally gets this god forsaken organization out of basketball purgatory.
