Time to create a thread for “Former Almost Wolverines Almost In The NBA”?
Ha wrong thread.
Well…good luck to Z, maybe this venture will help him!
Cool! Saw their gear there but hadn’t realized they started the thing…
Skolnick adds “the Miami Heat’s pursuit.” Still pretty opaque, but I imagine it could mean that Houston wants Duncan in exchange.
Based on the numbers last year, Duncan is one of the most valuable player in the NBA from a win shares/ salary perspective. I get why any team would want him, but it’s so hard to get a guy like that I feel like it isn’t worth it for Miami to give it up
Lol yeah Duncan in no way should be stopping the Heat from trading for Harden
I mean for James Harden you do. From a win shares per dollar of salary perspective I’m sure Duncan is hard to beat, but he’s going to make $16-$18 million in a year, at which point that metric will take a hit.
Most rumors have it as Herro, Robinson, and the two first round picks they’re allowed to trade.
I hear you, but also not sure I see Butler and Harden meshing…
Harden doesn’t seem to fit “Heat culture”
There’s the increase in pay plus the fact a dime is worth more than two nickels if you only have room for two coins.
From what I understand of James Harden, that’s for sure!
It’s not like Jimmy Butler suffers through folks that don’t give it all. We saw that when he was in Minnesota, and I think it’s why he left Philadelphia.
The problem with Harden is not that he doesn’t work hard. It’s whether he has to have the world revolve around him.
Yep, and it’s not good CP3 and Westbrook wanted out. He created a country club environment for himself in Houston and was calling all the shots (from what I’ve read). Now he wants to bail…lots of red flags but that’s the NBA.
I dunno that it’s all on Harden. Morey, Mark Dantonio and the general culture in Houston enabled him to become this. But at his age now it’s not clear he could radically change. Might have to be just the right mix of coach and teammates.
I blame Mark Dantonio for everything too
I was hoping for at least one person to make the connection, so thank you
This may generate some controversy…
Cassius Winston signed a 2 way contract with the Wizards. If he had gone to Harvard instead of MSU he would have a much higher potential for earning at a company. Never understood why he went to MSU.
Perhaps he enjoyed playing at a level at which he could be the NPOTY, or just playing nationally relevant basketball.
