Michigan Players in the NBA

Duncan is 3/3 from deep, just two minutes into the game

I get pure joy from watching him shoot

Seeing four Michigan guys, all of whom have been a little under the radar at times since they left Michigan, all have success in the NBA (at a time when the NBA is getting more attention) is a lot of fun. Burke, THJ, Levert, and Duncan all playing well. Would be nice if GR3 and DJ could join that conversation.

Gotta admit I chuckled at this… There was a huge anti-Duncan sentiment at times that year. And he also really struggled at times to be fair.

Glad to not see any UMHoops regulars quoted in that tweet! I remember some criticism about Duncan’s game in this forum, but not as caustic as that.

Having five three point shooters on the floor (why Porzingis at center is important) is a big help - all these tiny guards finishing at the rim without facing defensive help!

Could a team draft Charles Matthews in the next draft (if he proves to be fully healthy obviously) or is he automatically a free agent?

He’s a free agent.

I remember him struggling a lot until he got benched right before the MSU game. In that game when he came in I remember him playing some shockingly good defense against JJJ and Bridges at points, and he’s only gotten better on that end from there clearly.

While the prospects of 2nd round Caris, Trey, and TIMMAY are looking iffy at best, we are one win away from seeing Duncan most likely take on the Bucks (and DJ?) in the second round.

Duncan was in foul trouble this afternoon but still wound up with 15 points on 57% FG (50% from 3).

If DJ plays at all in that series something either went really wrong or really right for the Bucks

Trey Burke gets the start today!

15 points in the first half for Trey, on 6-7 (3-4 from 3) shooting. Dallas is playing w/o KP today and trails the Clippers by 8 at the break.

Trey is playing really good in the bubble. He has 20 right now and has helped them comeback. Hopefully he found a home with the Mavericks.

Doncic’s buzzer beater reminded me of Burke’s.

Safe to say Luka is a good basketball player.

It was just about the same distance but a step-back. Incredible! I really hope Dallas can pull off the upset. It would be so great to get another round or two out of our guys.
