I love the sportsmanship! To me THAT is what college sports should be about. Playing for the love of the game, the love for your teammates, playing for the name on the front of the shirt, and having grace in both victory and in defeat, too. Both teams are very special.

Don’t be fooled. Ernie is not a good guy. He sneaks into my house every night and diagrams plays on my refrigerator whiteboard. I have begged him to stop, even called the police, but it’s no use. He has built an entire playbook in the dead of night

Ernie can diagram plays (basketball or life) on my refrigerator anytime.

But, Nick, you’re not telling the whole story. Tell them how, when the police come to your house, they are so intrigued and impressed with my plays, they copy them down to use with their kids’teams in the Police Athletic League! They always thank me profusely, and then they walk me out to my car because, well, your neighborhood really isn’t too safe. You know, all those BREAK INS!

OK, since we’re having some fun today, telling stories, only borderline sports stuff really, and because my life is an open book on here, I’m posting a picture of my amazing little granddaughter. She has Autism and is the love of my wife’s and my life. I may have mentioned her before. She lives with us.
Lennox will never be an athlete, but we do play games. This picture is her victory photo for the game “Who can wear the most hats!” I was the graceful and very sportsmanlike loser and she was the gracious, and VERY CUTE, winner. When I get frustrated with Michigan Basketball, and that really hasn’t happened a lot over this past decade because we’ve been Blessed as fans, but when I do, I just think of this sweet little girl and those frustrations go away! I AM truly Blessed, and I know it!
Sorry if this post doesn’t seem to fit the thread, but we WERE playing a “non revenue sport” (OK, a kids game) and my life really is kind of an open book to many of you guys!
OK, after searching, I finally found a cuter photo. The one I’m using now is from yesterday’s game. Yes, yesterday, repetition IS thing, a constant for kids with Autism!

Michigan tennis beats Texas and advances to the elite 8! They are playing Ohio state next, who we just beat 2 weeks ago! Way to go, boys!

Big Ten track and field meet was up my way in Minnesota today. Saw Warde Manuel and Hunter Dickinson there. Not exactly sure how well Michigan did (my wife coaches at Minnesota).
Did Hunter say anything about following Pete Nance or Nance following him?

Michigan Softball last team announced in the tourney playing @ #16 seed region hosted by UCF. will play #1 OU if M can win the UCF region.

Baseball program appears to be trashed only a few years after a championship series appearance.
Michigan beat UCF 6-0 in Florida, earlier this season.

I forgot to ask him. DIdn’t see him until the end of the meet. I know he did date 400m stud Zyriah Holman in HS and their first year at UM but still weird seeing other athletes at those meets.
