Dang. I don’t need to be called fat this early in the day . Haven’t even drank beer with lunch yet.
Of course not, you had it with breakfast
It’s brunch and it’s classy!
Final Four Gym Bag for $25
as someone who has almost no tie to any of this apparel stuff, i’m very curious about the story of your interest in it. how you find stuff that’s posted soon after it is, how you’ve generated opinions about construction/quality, etc. how/why do you think you got so into it??
I wear garbage bags
I just always really hated being dressed up, grew up in a very country club type family and I was done with that ish by the time I was 14. Hated suits and collars and dress shoes and ties ever since and eventually that interest just gravitated towards interest in comfy clothes that you can actually wear outside of the house.
Got to know a bunch of people in the industry, went to school with the original owner of Mitten State before he passed and got in with a few people at Homefield early on just via email and started asking questions about where they were ordering fabrics from, screen printing and all that. Basically anyone not mass ordering hoodies and t-shirts from Bella + Canvas, I’d ask where they were getting stuff from and just turned into a hobby from there.
Life’s too short to be wearing itchy hanes cotton t-shirts and fruit of a loom sweatpants. I keep it sports on here, but I guess I am like a sneakerhead except with hoodies, t’s and sweats. I hate screen printing or probably would have turned a career into it. Haven’t totally turned that off yet, I do some small merch stuff locally for a few different places, but as of now, still enjoy being a consumer more than a supplier or designer.
Oh and a couple people will give me a heads up on sales or releases and stuff, but a lot of is just email sign ups.
for quality reasons or just the actual activity of screenprinting?
The repetition of it. If you want to do unique stuff, it’s the way to go. Or was a couple years ago, haven’t really stayed on top of any advances. If you’ve ever been in a screen printing business, it’s like a hot messy factory in there. Just wasn’t what I wanted to be doing, I’d hire that stuff out if I ever got into producing.
And also, did ask Homefield what was up with the delay on the last shipment, they have 5000 orders in the queue so they are doing well, but that’s them doing everything from start to finish. And 19nine, does order outside of house for productions and then sells so they are shipping same day usually. I’d prefer to be 19nine if I ever got into that game. Just do a run of 48 of each size and then never bring it back again.
Off topic of sports but if you want really comfy jeans and pants, check out https://shopduer.com/. They’re expensive, but worth it. The No Sweat Pant is phenomenal.
I’ll grab a pair this fall. 70/28/2 blend, I am in.
Maize Fab 5 Legacy restocks tomorrow at 11 AM. They are pricy and don’t have pockets, but really well made and they rarely have the Maize ones in stock in either style. M’s are embroidered as well.
I buy my clothes from Target and Old Navy so basically the same thing
Piggybacking on this. Mitchell & Ness has the blue authentics in large right meow. I love 19nine but M&N length is better for me since I’m 6’2" and a thuggish ruggish 40 year old .
Honestly Target has solid stuff
Haha yeah, just making fun of myself because 20 years ago I would only buy brand names and now I roll in Old Navy and Goodfellow & Co.
Lol I think I have my Dad’s original shorts from the 90s
Already said enough about Homefield, but if you are still inclined to check them out, they did release a Michigan box set for the season.
Their joggers are still really good imo which I probably failed to mention ranting on them before.
Was going to but they have an issue with the jogger sizes. Not just for the Michigan box either. Imagine these will sell out today, so I’m patiently waiting for them to get it fixed
No idea where to put this, so I chose here, since A-Rod is wearing Michigan apparel:
