Reading UK fan reactions to some of the "momentum swing" stuff is weird, they seem rather despondent about Brown at the moment.
Apparently they feel like any strong adidas kid they’ve been on in the past (Wiggins et al) has kept Kentucky in as #2 specifically to troll Nike and Kentucky.
Any shred of hope I have left is based on that and the fact that I’m fairly confident that there were many “head fakes” coming out of the Michigan camp preceding the Harbaugh hire. For instance, here’s a Charles Woodson quote from early to mid December:
“The way it sounds to me there’s not even that one in a million,” he added. “It doesn’t sound too good to me.”
It’s possible that this is happening again, and that the “Brown to Kentucky” train needed a little jolt. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it. Anybody want to borrow my tin foil hat or maize and blue colored glasses? Also, this kool-aid is delicious.
If we don’t get him, the disappointment will be so much more intense because of all the clues, hints, momentum building for us before this afternoon, etc.

Would anybody else be let down after the dust settles and we don’t come away with Brown or Williams? Not necessarily that we absolutely need them (OK, we do need Brown), but just the anticlimactic nature of it all. Just seems like no matter what we can’t get our primary targets these past 2 years

They said they were hearing UK, but didn’t want to make a call yet. Now they’re making that call (presumably).
Everyone would be let down. But what would make it worse would be the way Williams cancelling and the BA tweet made things look really good for us. It’s hard to get–referring to Brown–elite recruits, but he was seeming almost in the boat for us (and maybe it will still turn out that way).
See that’s stupid, he’s just saying he’s making HIS call…which nobody is interested in because he’s not anybody. Straighthoops is straight bogus.
Edit- of course he doesn’t know a time frame cause he doesn’t know sheat
KSR hinting that Brown could decide by Tuesday. Not good if UK outlets know of a decision timeframe before anyone else.
Watch this dude pick Cal, nobody is talking about them all the “rumors” have been about him going too Kentucky or Michigan with UNC pretty much being eliminated. Nobody has even talked about Cal yet they keep making his cuts. Hopefully this ends soon.

Michigan…Kentucky…Michigan…Kentucky…this feels like when announcers say during games it feels like whoever has the ball last will win.
This thing just keeps turning and twisting. I’ll stick to know one really knows anything. Brown keeps it close to the vest. One day we are on a high, the next we fall low. We’ll know when we know.

I really hope they didn’t tell Williams to cancel his visit without being 100% sure about Brown coming. We’ll probably never know and it’s not like Williams is the biggest loss. But if that happened, they need to tighten up their game.
