Poole can still have played poorly down the stretch and be worthy of a first round pick. Really happy for him.
The point is that you draft based on potential not based on last year’s performance.

I definitely would take Carson Edwards over Jordan Poole. Edwards so much more dynamic.

Who has a higher ceiling? Edwards or Poole? Poole is younger, taller and has the potential to be way more than Edwards.

? , ridiculous assessment. Carson was a better college player sure, but Jordan has more potential. We never saw Jordan reach his full potential and maybe we never would have but he has ability.

Poole is guaranteed to get older and mature. Edwards is not guaranteed to grow.

I understand your thinking and Carson might be better even in the nba but Jordan has a lot of potential growth still. I can’t see Carson doing the same.
I’m disappointed at how his year went too but there is still a lot of upside there, I can’t say that about Carson really. He kind of is who he is and that might still lead to success. Carson is much more of a finished product as opposed to Jordan.
I was just arguing about this on the suns message board discussing nassir versus cam Johnson.
Cam might be more successful but nassir clearly has more upside and potential if it’s realized. I know you get it, but that’s what the nba draft is about.
Cam might end up being better but I’d bet on nassir over him or Jerome every time.
3rd guard – 1st guard off the bench. Has potential for ridiculous gravity offensively given his ability to shoot off the catch and bounce. Wingspan is only half an inch smaller than Poole despite his smaller stature. Both will only be able to guard one position (no versatility there) – Edwards 1s and Poole 2s.
What is Poole’s ceiling? I don’t see it being any higher than that and not “way more.”
I’d be scared by his foot too but the fact not one team has gambled on bol bol yet is shocking to me.
