Yep, they were in Europe 3 months ago. Flying kids across the pond 8 games into the season to have them deal with jet lag, their studies, among other things, is stupid on so many levels.

I’ll be watching because I am obsessive about watching our games. But everyone’s correct. This was not the best idea.

Given the travel schedule, jet lag, TWill talking about it’s the most tired he’s ever been, I think there are a lot of other places they want to be.

Is “Czechia” a thing? That’s hard to say. I like “Czech Republic” better.

Yes it is what they call themselves. Turns out “Republic” isn’t a Czech word.
Same way Germans don’t call it Germany.
That’s a shame if some of the kids didn’t appreciate the chance to go on this trip. It’s their loss if it didn’t seem like an opportunity.

But the Czech name for their country is Česká republika.
So “Czechia” is an English thing, apparently.
Czechia is the Czech government’s recommended English name of the country.
