Michigan closes the year at 11 on Kenpom. 9th offense. 31st defense.

I mean, they’re our last two bigs who had very special ability, so it doesn’t seem unreasonable that one would be discussed with the other :man_shrugging:

Let’s just say it’s really exciting to have another freak big man frosh after quite a few years.

Undefeated in 2020. Not too shabby

The older Sabonis. In his prime.

Raef LaFrentz?

Mitch just never played through the post which is basically what Hunter does.

He isn’t what the NBA is looking for in a big. Hunter showed potential as a face up shooter but he barely showed it this season. He lacked the athleticism to defend out in the perimeter. Similar situation as Luka Garza who was a monster in the last couple season yet likely won’t get drafted because he doesn’t fit the modern NBA bigs.

No, the younger Sabonis right now.

I like the Monroe. For some reason I just see randolph. Obviously maybe in a couple years. Randolph always played hard, was so good at getting over his left shoulder and had that nice mid range lefty jumper, which it looks like Hunter had the potential for (although we haven’t seen much of it yet)

I get it. And was more explosive as an athlete and not the low block beast that Hunter looks to be. Both are/were fun. I loved Mitch McGary.

Edit Right shoulder

Dickinson will test the waters. Hopefully/probably be back to show he can shoot 3s or something. Then peace out and we’ll be left with 0 centers when he and Diabate leave

But that’s a future Juwan problem

We never got to see the Sabonis in his prime in this country. Before the leg injuries he was reportedly unreal.

For you recruitniks; who was the higher rated big man Dickinson dominated in a HS last season?? After the game Dickinson was nonplussed saying something along the lines ‘I’m a better player than him”

This is Hunter’s eighth college game! Amazing where he’s at already.

That’s tough when DeMatha is a powerhouse. The Terp blogs are probably not in a good mood tonight.
