Game 8: Michigan at Maryland Open Thread

Isn’t Jalen Duren a center?

How about all the blocks at the rim today by M. Everybody was getting in the act from Brooks on up

Watching ESPNNews and they are showing Odds for NCAA Title. They have Michigan at 25-1, right up there with UNC and Kentucky. Duke at 20-1, MSU at 18-1. Time will tell.

We have the worst luck with this stuff

Let’s see Hunter ride a unicycle before we get crazy.

Seems akin to a Belleville situation for Michigan football. Maryland fan on Reddit also mentioned DeMatha being a Nike school as an issue, but seems like there’s an issue with their HC and Maryland.

Funny story about Mobley. I guess he has a brother who is good? Not the first pair of Mobleys. Eric Mobley was my vintage in NYC ball (just older) and was one half of The Mobley Twins at Salesian High in the city. They were monsters in HS but didn’t win the tournament we were in with them. I hadn’t realized until tonight who Mobley’s dad is. I saw him when he was 17!

This is in answer to your (Dylan) Isaiah Livers post above. I don’t “know” anything but I really believe he was either dinged up a bit when he was knocked to the floor on that drive to the basket early or he’s a little under the weather.

After his fairly long rest in the first half I was glad to see him come back on the floor. I was pleased to see him start the second half but shortly after he hit that three, if I recall correctly, Chaundee subbed in for him and then Isaiah didn’t play much after that.

He rolled his ankle on that first drive, per Juwan.

I’ve never seen a player constantly land awkwardly like Livers. It’s like he locks his knees when he lands. tightens ups. He scares me every time he lands

So seems at least possible no Livers for NW but that lineup with Franz at the 4, Chaundee Eli Mike Hunter seemed really smooth

Lol…who takes those odds on the blue bloods who have been struggling. Joke.

Dickinson 53-73 from the field for season now. Absolutely absurd.

Had to spend this New Years isolated from friends and family, thanks to this incredible basketball program for giving something to text chain about

I’d say the fact that he played the rest of the game means he will be good to go. But maybe when he wakes up tomorrow it will be stiff

Trillions and Trillions of viruses out there courtesy of Bill Walton. Definitely more than I would have thought.
