Game 6: Penn State at Michigan Open Thread

Happy to escape with the win, but a concerning performance. Need to find some sort of set Livers and Franz are comfortable in.

Foul if Livers misses

I’d take a bullet for Eli

Anyone know Williams’ high school free throw shooting stats? I thought he was a fine shooter.

WOW what great on ball D! We’ve got lots of good individual on ball defenders on this team

Why did the announcer have to say: the best FT shooter on the team

If it’s a miss you foul and not doing otherwise remains the dumbest coaching move in basketball

Livers was horrendous and still ends up in double digits.

Better than last year.

the numbers are less clear than that

Kinda lucky to pull that one out given the late game execution. Lots to work on over the next two weeks.

That win feels terrible after being up 15 in the first half.

That being said, it was a 4 point win when the KenPom spread was 6. And that’s with bad games by Livers and Franz (who despite this forum’s opinions sometimes, have shown they are better than this and these games are outliers). Defense has improved by miles since the start of the season, need to get into a better offensive flow and improve rebounding however.

I liked going to Williams as the small ball 5 there in the last minute for defense. He has to improve his FT’s, though and we should have called TO once we got the stop. Hopefully, we learn from that.

I mean no. If you don’t foul them and their only shot is a buzzer beater there is no possible way they can win the game.

A win is a win is a win! Go Blue! Thank god We got that dub. Now it’s time to be disappointed by the Lions again.

As a casual fan, I feel a little worried. Juwan’s offense does not create open looks like JB’s did.
