Game 5: Michigan vs. Providence Open Thread

Yeah,it is bugging me that the announcers keep qualifying Iggy’s success with him being really “old”. They have done it at least 3 times in the last few days.

Dakich is probably the only ESPN basketball comentator who I enjoy listening to. Miss the Dakich - Tirico pairing

Then Ellis repeats it in the studio. Soon they’ll say he’s 21 and buys beer for the other freshmen.

Basically disagreed with half of what Dak said, but he at least knew the teams/their tendencies/the coaches.

Many despise Dakich because he has a big personality, but his analysis is better than pretty much all ESPN announcers.

He’s objectively a douche, but he’s entertaining and probably the only color guy who speaks about the X and Os of the game

Poole…woof

Aaaaaand 3 on Matthews. Not a good start

These loose ball fouls are a joke.

Need to rebound better

Idk what we are reporting Teske’s vertical as, but it’s a lie :joy:

Trigger happy refs this half

Offensive boards without Charles in there

Nothing like the “wait for the shot to miss before calling a foul” trope!

Holy shit we can’t get rebounds or a whistle in our favor

Poole is not into it today. It’s pretty disappointing considering how well he played yesterday.

Four offensive rebounds for Providence in the first 2:46 of the second half. Isaiah Livers checking in for U-M.
