Game 28: Wisconsin at Michigan Open Thread

You might want to look up OSUs basketball performance the last 15 years.

Are you kidding? That’s not what I’m going to remember Simpson by!

After all the great things he’s been part of? No way. I’ll remember his sick years of defense, insanely strong hands, incredible will, the hook shot, the stat stuffing so many good things.

Oh I think they’re a 6 heading into BTT if they finish 1-2 here. Pretty much a lock to be a 6 I think. Would have to lose opening round game and that probably drops to a 7.

The more you slice numbers, the more likely you are able to use them to prove the point you want to make but the more likely they are saying that because of something you didn’t think of.

However, it may take him some time to play well with a broken nose. You cannot expect him to be at the same level.

Hope you’re right. Nothing wrong at all with a 6 seed and considering where we came from this year would be hard not to be ecstatic.

One last thing: Crisler’s atmosphere needs an upgrade. Just putrid tonight. Get the younger crowd closer to the court and kick the blue hairs back up the bowl. It’s sad.

If OSU is sans Young, Livers is 100%, and Don Eli de la Vega isn’t too encumbered, there’s a fair chance of victory Sunday.

I said “supposedly” to be tongue in cheek. The home/road stuff came from mgoblog which IMO tends to be too sweeping in their assertions/takeaways.

It amazes how people can watch sports for years and still get so doom and gloom after a loss. Penciling in losses to OSU and Maryland because of this game is just silly.

That sounds right, having not been there. I don’t think we have the sleep walking first half on a neutral court. There’s something wrong that I think we play UW better on a neutral court than at home.

Realistically, 10-10 may now well happen. Fine. So be it. I’d take it in a heartbeat when U-M sat at 2-6 with the achedule ahead. Two words before the BTT: get healthy. Sit Livers if he needs it. Sit whoever to help them mend. When 1-5 are properly aligned, U-M can beat anyone. This loss sucked but they all do. Tourney season is coming up, and if all hands are on deck, I cannot wait.

I get being upset, but giving up on other games before they’re played is insane.

I’m really mad bc I hate every player and coach in Wisconsin history and can’t stand losing to them. Way more rational.

It’s by far the worst venue in the Big Ten. Even Northwestern is better when they’re decent

I don’t think I’ve been to a game at improved Crisler, so I wonder what others here think

But they really should fly me in for all the big home games. You can ask anyone who’s sat near me at the BTT or the NCAAs, I’m a one man home court advantage. Relentlessly loud.

Kohl Center last week for Purdue/UW was a library.

Yea, I don’t get. The kids just don’t get hyped enough.

Yeah, to me, this is sort of a shrug your shoulders “whaddya gonna do” type game. I mean Wisconsin played absolutely amazing AND hit some insanely lucky garbage in the last 5 minutes AND we missed a million layups AND the guy who killed us would normally be guarded by our best defender except he’s hurt AND we still had a shot to win it at the end AND it wasn’t really a must win anyway.

The venue itself is fine; they did a good job with the renovations. But we could use more students by the court.
