Game 28: Wisconsin at Michigan Open Thread

What on earth are you talking about?

I don’t want any of that smoked cheddar.

Missed layups and misses free throws. Make half the missed layups and this is a win

Just like illinois, needed clutch free throws and we couldn’t make them. Those bricked ft and and the five missed layups were the game. When johns got that board on the free throw I was praying they wouldn’t call foul and we could get a look at three.I had very little confidence johns could hit that with how he shot today and he hadn’t gotten many looks at the line.

Either way wisconsin played really really well, gotta give them their due. The only plus side to consider is we didn’t have one of our key players and they played unreal on offense and we still have a chance if we just make free throws/lay ups.

There was no D from us tonite

I hope Josh Christopher commits tomorrow to ease the pain.

Not being sarcastic but most of us were feeling a 6 seed anyway as a good path?? Bright side is this puts Michigan back to 6 seed range most likely.

Over the last 15 years Wisconsin is the best basketball and football team together in the Big Ten. Even though OSU is better in football, nobody better when you combined men’s bball and football.

Actually I think we’re going to win. I was high on ohio st earlier this year but with the way this team is playing I think were going to go in there and win the one we should have won at home.

Kyle Young is walking around on crutches tonight from what I’ve seen. If you would have told me this week our two games were Wisconsin at home without Brooks and OSU on the road with us at full strength and them down Young I’d have been feeling better about the OSU game.

And that just sucks.

Wisconsin was supposedly terrible away from home yet they played like vintage GSW tonight.

Brooks’ broken nose was such a buzzkill. This team was playing so well. At least he should be back for OSU.

They’ve won won several tough road games in B1G play

The d was bad but some of it was just good offense. I was very impressed by that offense. They read the d perfectly and they constantly made the right decision. Also they just were lights out from deep.

What? They have a ton of good road Ws.

Valiant effort by Simpson but again his one weakness is fatal. It’s a shame that’s what people will remember him for instead of his other attributes. Johns won’t be the player people want him to be. Outside of that little run earlier in the month, he’s nothing more than a bench hustle guy. The new recruits will replace him quite easily imo. Brooks was missed as a second ball handler and iso player tonight. Livers didn’t do anything and Wagner needed Juwan to specifically get him moving. Teske was all around terrible everywhere on the court. Wish Juwan went small from the get go. Terrible L at home. OSU and Maryland will be Ls. This team will be under seeded come tourney time for good or bad.

The positive is Juwan is great at adjusting through the half. M will be much better with his players.

I would be ecstatic with a 6, I can’t lie. Just don’t know we get there.

We’ve definitely blown a lot of games we should have had but I think we are going to pay them back.

I was referencing the home/road Torvik numbers he was alluding to from mgoblog the other day. Hence Dylan’s warning to not get too pumped up on splicing numbers from Torvik. Wisconsin’s efficiency plummeted away from home yet they bombed Michigan into oblivion
