Yep! Coaches were stubborn with the hedge and recover. Should have been scrapped in second half.

Yup. Offense was adequate to win – 70 points against a great defense. I’m not even going to criticize our defense – we just got beat by an elite PG. Elite PG’s are really hard to beat.

My grouses today: where were the adjustments agianst the MSU ball screen, turnovers, weak finishing on layups, no Matthews, and we could have driven on this team, and didn’t punish State with that when we had our moments. Also, there were mismatches where Teske had Winston posted up and we failed to dump it inside.
Tough loss, but I won’t give up on the guys. I believe we can get State back, clean up our issues and still make a March run. If we somehow drop to a 3 seed, you definitely dont want to see us.
They won’t lose both road games

Villanova is in free fall. Honestly, at the Barn was our best road win of the season.

That stretch in BOTH HALVES where we had that terrible lineup in was telling. Unfortunately.

I think we beat them at their place.
We lost the game when we went up 51-45 and messed our pants completely right away. No lineup issues during that stretch, just brutal, terrible play.

Maybe we won’t have to deal with him next year. A wounded dog is tough to beat.
Not many creators off the bounce on this roster is well known.
That 70 points is really misleading because of all the late possessions. We had a stretch where we scored like 6 points in 10 minutes.
Damn. Figured as much so doesn’t surprise me. Given the lack of depth, playing on Thursday would be absolutely brutal too. Just punt on the tournament, and by punt, obviously play to win but roll with the bench without the worry of taking a loss.

Nice and now we’ve devolved to Harbaugh bashing. People put too much stock into the coaching matchups imo. Players play and MSU played better

I’m pretty sure he sat a number of possessions into the catastrophe. Might have been a bad decision to take him out, but they didn’t take him out after his dunk which was the 51-45 high water mark.
This team needs a hard look in the mirror as to what they did from that point on.
Minny probably isnt a team that makes the 68.
