Game 24: Michigan at Northwestern Open Thread

I suspect at least a couple of players have had thoughts of a transfer, but I’d be very surprised if any of them have already decided upon leaving.
They have classwork to do in addition to all the time spent on and off the court together with their teammates.

Some shit about his affinity w Chicago and NW and why he wasn’t considering NW. They didn’t recruit Juwan and he said as such. Done

Reporters really do their research, don’t they.

Think it’s important to remember these are still young guys and works in progress. It’s certainly positive that DDJ is improving. Exciting to think about what he might be like next year if he continues to improve as much as he has so far!

Something to remember in a lot of these pressers … ~50% of questions are from student reporters. Didn’t hear who asked that one but something to keep in mind.

Also it is pretty normal to ask what do you think of this program right now questions to visiting coaches, especially after a road coach wins. Beilein used to always get asked about building a program, etc.

agreed to see how far Johns, DDJ and Davis have come from the beginning of the year is encouraging. I still think Castleton is on his way to helping out in spot minutes too

No problem w those scenarios; the rest is laziness.

He is going to be a solid player somewhere. I will be pulling for him no matter where he ends up playing.

Tonight’s bizarre stat: Z somehow had a -6 +/- in a 25 point win.

I apologize as I’m sure this was covered earlier but I didn’t go through the 500+ messages to find out. Are Teske’s struggles mental or physical (injury)? I can’t imagine that he has regressed this much from last season or for that matter the first two or so months of the season. He’s clearly capable of being much better. Whatever it is I hope he figures it out in the next few weeks as that would make this team significantly better than what it is with him playing 25 minutes a night the way he has been playing.

Yea Dylan posted that in another thread after last game and I had to double take it. I was like that can’t be right.

People sometimes really get too caught up in the upside of the new toys. Teske hasn’t been a shiny, catchy toy this year in B1G play. His skill level cannot eclipse many elite level M big men over four years but Teske will go down as a success being that he has won over 100 games in uniform and been on teams that made deep runs.
