Game 24: Michigan at Northwestern Open Thread

Does it count as under the lights if it’s all in blowouts?

You sure it’s not Eli Brooks?

I don’t wanna let this team and this coaching staff off the hook and be an optimistic fanboy, but its hard not to look at this team with and without Livers and think that maybe those struggles in January/early February really were just because of Livers being out. I think these last few games have really attested to his importance to this team.

Also castleton can play. He had his struggles but he is going to be a good one. I trust him in minutes going forward this year still.

Andy Katz showing big time love to Michigan. “this is a team you don’t want to see in March”

He takes advantage of what few minutes he gets. Can we say the same for some who have gotten more minutes?

Has the kid missed a shot yet? He can’t have taken five yet but man.

Imo it does when you come in and haven’t shot a live game shot in ten games. I’m not saying stick him in this year but you gotta like that he comes in and seems to rise to the occasion even if that occasion is up 20 with under two to go.

I agree with that as well. I think he sees the floor fine, he’s just too aggressive looking for his shot off of ball screens. I know his role this year is to be somewhat of a shot hunter, but his decision making/shot selection will matter a lot more next year.

Unless Teske or Davis goes down I just don’t see him getting any minutes though.

I think Colson B. is the best shooter on the team. I’m a big fan. Defense is the area in which he has much room for improvement. If the team played more zone, he would be the perfect microwave off the bench this year.
I really hope he stays and fully commits himself to defense because I think he’s going to be a great college basketball player by the time his NCAA career is over.

You can’t really play him against any team with a real good center … which is unfortunately pretty much everyone in the BIG this year except NW and NU.

I agree. All I care about right now though is this year. His skill set is actually lining up nicely for what we need now.

I’m getting pretty excited. If they can just clean things up a bit ( silly turnovers, defensive miscommunications, occasional shot selection) this team could really be something special late.

Come on now, best shooter on the team? I will give him credit for making open shots when he’s in the game but he made one shot and he was literally unguarded. I will agree and say that he will be a good collegiate player when it’s said and done but I just don’t think it will be here. I really feel like Juwan and Cole have already talked about it and Cole is going to transfer. I can’t see Juwan giving Cole such limited minutes if he was going to be here long term.

I do wonder what Collins could do if he wasn’t restricted by academic compliance.

They’ve stuck him in there before at odd moments so who know. Juwan has had some random sub patterns/ decisions at times. I loved what I saw in Atlantis. Foul trouble/ injuries ( hope not)

Either way he’s looked more like who we saw late last year and early this year which is a very good thing his last few times out.

I guess I just feel like he hasn’t played in a competitive game in forever.
