Game 21: Michigan State at Michigan Open Thread

Unbelievable just how obvious. Never liked the Fab5 either. Never mentioned Davis getting two and our lead regressing initially and John’s having to play the 5 either.

It’s like he bet Sparty or something. He’s usually fair to us but tonight he seems to be all about MSU.

M won the last 4 minutes. Now win the first 4 second half.

23% turnover rate and only 9 minutes from Dickinson. The half went as well as possible for MSU and we’re up 11.

And so many of y’all were worried about MSU.

Just heard Villanova’s star guard has torn acl. Man I hope we can stay healthy

I really, really want to bury them early in the second half when Hunter comes back. No cheap fouls on Dickinson, please.

I was lucky enough to be on the bench when Eli played Gillespie in the PA state finals…

He also was singing Hail to the Victors as the game went to half. He’s just overly positive about everyone

I’m still worried, but mostly about more elbows meeting more faces.

Even when he bets MSU he can’t deny we have the best fight song

Big momentum shift for U-M to extend the lead without Dickinson on the floor late. The key will be extending it again in the first four of the second half.

UM has been great in those situations this year but let the game get away from it completely around the 17 min mark vs ILL.

Eli leading scorer and we are up 11 I would never have guessed that

This performance brought to you by the scoop shot!

I like the change up from Eli… his little runners never went.

Man some crazy nervous energy here. MSU does not look good. But everyone is terrified because of football I guess

Coming out of that half, I will certainly take the 11 point lead. What’s unfortunate is that we had a few sequences where we started building momentum, just for it to be destroyed by costly turnovers or questionable reffing. I don’t think MSU’s defense has been anything special (case in point - our ~60% FG shooting), but we haven’t quite found our footing offensively. The team seems sped up … they need to slow down and value each possession.

Chaundee brown is really bad at layups. Don’t know if anyone else has noticed that. If he’s not dunking he looks super awkward

I’m not sure if you can call whatever that was “singing” our fight song. He sort of mumble-hummed the tune, but at least he didn’t follow it with Notre Dame’s this time!
