Game 17: Michigan at Iowa Open Thread

7 of our next 11 at home. Those 4 road games are at Nebraska, Northwestern, Rutgers (MSG), and Purdue. Time to go on a run (hopefully with Livers back).

Welp that’s 2-6 in the last 8 against HM teams. Can’t get Livers back soon enough.

WTF did they review for a DDJ flagrant? How did they keep missing the Weiskamp hook and hold?

How’s Weiskamp, after replay, not guilty of the hook and hold? I thought that was a “point of emphasis”

You’re garbage Iowa. Every cornhusker in the building knows without the extra 25 points at the line this game is a runway for Michigan in their own house.

IMO 2 in a row would have been won with Livers.

Woof that sucked

Yup, he hit a couple shots when the game was close under 5 that I think were the difference. That, and the 3 by Kreiner.

Agreed bob.

Really tough loss to swallow there. ugh. hard to accept.

The refs in this conference are really good at catching how many more fouls are committed by road teams than home.

This. This, this, this, this, this.

Really hope we meet them again in the Big 10 Tourney and run them out of the building.

They missed 2 on him. I thought the other one was much more blatant, TBH.

Refs with the fouls and free throws disparity and bad coaching by Howard cost us the game players played well and hard!!

I wouldn’t want to be Penn State come Wednesday…Crisler better be rocking!

That game feels close to a must win now. Not quite, but hope we don’t feel too much pressure.

I can understand a big foul discrepancy on the road against a team that is very aggressive attacking the basket. Iowa is not that kind of team. Hard to stomach a close loss on the road when the other team gets 20 points on you at the line. I really hope the conference looks at this because it’s not just happening to Michigan.

I’m sure we’ll have something like a 30-5 free throw disparity, like we always do at home.

The review was of DeJulius’s supposed hook and hold. Refs get punked again.

To mix sports metaphors, It’s like a pitcher that notices a weird fluke in an ump’s strike zone and going there every now and then for easy punchouts when you need them.

If Michigan can’t beat PSU at home…well, I’d rather not consider that occurrence.
