Pretty hard to overcome 20 more free throws.
This team just leaves too many points out there in the margins. Weird lineup patterns, bad rebounding, defensive communication lapses, just an overall lack of discipline and continuity. Can’t blame it all on coaching, but it feels like they’re consistently leaving opportunities out there.
They need to score, and given the time situation, they likely need to have 3s to trade for FTs or 2s. Also it plays into Iowa’s hands. Garza + Kriener > Teske + Davis. Need to make them play to you. Make their bigs guard the perimeter
And the coach but we like to crap on him too right now
Brooks (17). Wagner (14). And DeJulius (12). Have taken 43 of Michigan 67 shots. I find this interesting
Agree, but they got great looks. I think it’s likely that he knows he can get what he wants against Iowa even with a bit of a black hole at 1 position. Thinking of the offensive rebound, likely.
Kinda weird that both Iowa games were both offensive explosions
Michigan 4 of 5 Iowa 24 for 26 don’t tell me there’s not intent here.
Davis has one rebound and let’s his man score at an alarming rate
Is that … is that ANOTHER hook and hold on Weiskamp?
We sure it’s not the reason? Taking 12 minutes away from the dregs of the roster and giving them to Dave could be worth 6 points.
Tonight really confirms the adage that you have to be 10 points better to win by 1 on the road.
Wieskamp with another hook and hold
hopefully Howard brings up the fact that we are at a 53-11 ft disadvantage in the last 2 games…
A must. Maybe not to media, but to somebody. Refs are a risk that can be somewhat managed.
If I had to pick the biggest reason Iowa is winning this game It’s because they have Garza and Michigan doesn’t
30 to 5 tonight. Not sure I’ve seen that, even in the Bobby Knight days.
Hate the loss, but this could be launching point with the effort and toughness!
Nearly had a basketball butt fumble situation there.
Of all the frustrating losses this year, this one takes the cake.
