Whatever the sparty says, they should be scared. I am glad the Juwan is a Michigan man and is not going anywhere.
dude has massive grapefruits. what a boss
What a great win. Still concerned with their legs moving forward but good to know this team has plenty of fight in them. A Nebraska win over Illinois wouldāve been the cherry on top this weekend but I guess UM just has to take care of their own business.
Just rewatched the 2nd half. From the 6:40 mark until about 1:40 or so, Dickinson gets 4 ORBs, and all 4 led to absolutely huge scores - 2 by Livers (including the huge 3), 1 by Hunter and 2 FTs by Hunter. Coming to a 5 Key Plays near you!
While I certainly would have liked to see the Huskers win that game, Illinoisās schedule down the stretch is brutal. They still have to play @Minnesota, @OSU, and @Wisconsin, even putting aside the to-be-rescheduled game in Ann Arbor.
I did secure a recording, and the highlight of the first five minutes by far is Raftery remembering Simpsonās hook shot. Such a unique player, makes me happy others remember his game at M as fondly as I do
I havenāt read the rest of this thread to see if this was addressed, but Iām watching the second half right now and just hit this point. Iām guessing weāll see Wisconsin fans complain about it elsewhere.
The broadcast audio and shot clock have been off compared to what is actually happening in stadium all game. I was thrown off early when a shot by Wisconsin was clearly after the buzzer sound on the broadcast and nobody said anything, but a replay showed that he got it off in time and it wasnāt very close. Iām guessing this is what happened here, especially since Wisconsinās players and coaches didnāt seem upset.
Having a dominant big man really makes life a lot easier. I donāt know the last time an M big just owned the offensive glass like that.
TBH, I would guess at this point that Martelli is the least valuable coach on the team by a decent margin. He isnāt charged with coaching a position or with running the offense or defense. Was probably invaluable from a management standpoint last year, but Iām guessing his eventual retirement wonāt affect us much.
Thatās why Dickinson got the board.
Trice actually made a really nice Simpson-like hook in the first half.
Time to beatdown Bucky Badger on the ice for the weekend sweep!
He grabs only honest rebounds.
There were def some. Unique circumstances today though making this a pretty unique and memorable win. Iām not surprised but also didnāt expect it. Somehow I managed to have no expectations and at the same time expected a great second half performance.
Havenāt checked the box score but donāt think he had a turnover despite finding himself in the position where he often struggles to keep a tight handle. Notable progress.
That has to be the one. Many of you have longer memories that me.
How bout the improvement on rebounding from Dickinson?
Correct; Livers was not credited with a turnover today.
