Game 15: Michigan at Wisconsin Open Thread

Dickinson is a perfect example of despite the perimeter oriented offense of today that size and iq still matter as much as quickness and athletic ability on defense.

Seth Davis eating his words! They played like the champions they are. Best possible outcome; win in madison check, win a close game against good team check, come back from being down check, and return from covid with a good solid win check!

Just finished on dvr. One of the most unlikely wins I can remember since the plane crash game. Phenomenal effort from the whole team. So happy for them because that couldn’t have been easy to pull off.

The Breslin win where sophomore(?) Simpson guarded the heck out of Winston. That one turned the season around iirc.

So so impressive. Love this squad. They just don’t rattle.

Also I can’t believe this is the first game all season I had to work during. I clearly missed a great one, will have to find a replay at some point.

Juwan now has gotten 1/3 of the way to equalling Beilein’s win total vs. the hated Badgers.

WI made two (2) FG’s in the last 11 (ok, 10:57) minutes of the game. One was a circus shot from Trice and the other a long 2 by J. Davis with a hand in his face.

Two biggest surprises for me are the minutes Livers and Wagner played and how few turnovers Mich had

And Moe put Nick Ward on roller skates :joy:

Well, he kept Dickinson fresh for the stretch run. (Ducks.)

Politely disagree. Those teams, with their underrated players, were all about the moxie!

The BTT win after the crash in the practice unis has to take the cake all time imo

Maybe the second MSU game in 2013, after being blown out earlier in the season in E. Lansing). Remember, we didn’t make a three, and Trey ripped Kieth Appling for the go ahead basket, and then made another steal to seal the game.

That one was a pretty ballsy win as well.

As Herm Edwards said you play to win the game. The heavy lifters got the team back into it and they delivered, they earned that. Also they don’t play again until Thursday. Plenty of time to rest up.

So MSU fans claiming Martelli is the genius behind Howard is a thing? The lengths some people will go to man lol.

Oh yes, I remember that one. I was there - great atmosphere! The missed threes were maddening. It looked like it might slip away … and then Trey showed everyone why he was POTY!
