Game 14: Michigan at Purdue Open Thread

Paul Szelc is one of the officials today.

You may remember him from such games as the one where John Beilein was thrown out at halftime.

Seemed like a “messy” half overall. I feel lucky we are up by so much. Having 4 bench guys with decent reps earlier this season seems to be paying off.
We need to keep up that culture of being as deep as we can. That’s a good recipe for a long tourney run

If Purdue wasn’t so offensively limited and if Michigan wasn’t so dang good I’d be 1,000 times more heated about the officiating. What a luxury to not turn into a raging ball of anger.

At least Beilein now realizes it wasn’t personal…

I love this team so much. As crazy as it sounds (having at least 3 future nba picks) we are still managing to be better than the sum of our parts.
Juwan preaching family, and team team team, is what makes these years so special. Together they can do anything

Really shrewd play by Chaundee Brown to shoot a wedgie and get U-M the ball back to start the second half.

Just got caught up. Fouls aside, a superb first half. Fantastic defensive effort.

Livers should shoot more FTs

It’s just unfair how good livers is at shooting

Szelc is terrible and also John Higgins is there of 2013 National Title game lore. Not a good crew.

I like that the bench is chanting “De-fense” like it’s high school :joy:

Ask and you shall receive.

What’s livers 3 percentage again?

It’s feeling like Livers might go on a Glenn Rice shooting spree.

Hunter looks like he’s got a chip on his shoulder

interesting that we doubled williams in the post. I think it’s less out of necessity, and more to keep hunter out of more foul trouble.

That’s why you don’t bounce pass to a big man in that situation.

I hate bounce passes to posts. Just a little off smith
