Final 4 Roll Call

Just gonna leave this here as a heads up, I have two pretty darn good seats (sec 125 row J) that I might not use because I’m hoping to sit in a group of 3 tomorrow. But it’s a bit dependent on where prices are landing. I cannot put these on a resale site but I can sell them to someone here and would do so at a below market price. So keep an eye out if you’re looking for a last minute pair!

I am so frustrated I can’t be there. Just itching to get in the car and nonstop my way there.

I was in 116 , in the corner, for the first game, row AA (~27 ish). Pretty poor sight lines, and hard with the depth perception to see the other end of the court. We moved to section 114, in line with the free throw line for our game, same approx row, and that was much better. Still, that was pretty low for sight lines. I’m looking at sitting in 414 for Monday, some tix there are $700 ish, and think it will come down some if I wait until tomorrow.

Interested to hear other thoughts!

Section 109 Row S. Certainly not a bad seat, but it was about the last set of seats with a decent view. If you go another section around to the end zone, now you’re sitting behind a set of boxes, and a stage, and all of the students.

I’m in town tomorrow if anyone wants to meet up potentially. I am also trying to get a ticket for the game that is a decent view if anyone has a single ticket available! I’m at the Hyatt Regency as well so lots of good bar spots nearby if anyone wants to get an early drink!

My friend who I would go with literally just got back from a week long trip to Japan. He’s too wiped to do it

Dying that I can’t be there. Cheer your hearts out!

Jet lag is a b—h. :sob:

Quick update for those more fortunate: the bottom continues to fall out of the market for tickets in the upper half of the arena. Sellers are still holding out hope for the lower bowl tickets, where the supply remains limited and therefore there’s some small modicum of pricing power, but upstairs it’s a race to the bottom as supply outstrips demand. StubHub is down to $120 each for the cheapest pairs; if you need four, SeatGeek can take care of you at about $150 each.

These may continue to drop throughout the day, but suffice it to say that whereas those of us who went Saturday paid a premium due to the Illinois fans, that’s turned into a dividend for Monday tickets as the Illini try to unload them.

(Also, to counter a narrative I’ve seen some other places: this is not “always” the case. This didn’t happen – at least not to this degree – in Atlanta or San Antonio. And if this were Michigan vs. Illinois, the get-in price would be closer to $500. The fact that Illinois fans showed up in droves Saturday and then lost is fueling this).

The brokers screwed up yesterday and put all of their inventory on the market to start. They’ve since pulled half back around half to drum up demand in the lower level. If you look at the ticketmaster resale you can see half and every other rows for sale. I wouldn’t do anything until at least 3pm Indy time.

btw for those going, i would suggest getting get in tickets and then moving to open seats down lower, security did not monitor tickets for sections AT ALL on saturday

To be fair, this will be a little harder to find open seats with one game instead of two

Yeah I don’t agree with this advice. Moving down is easy when a huge chunk of people leave after the first game. Its going to be tricky to pull off tonight.

If you’re particularly immune to embarrassment and are armed with a StubHub map showing unsold inventory, this could work. Me, I’m watching inventory to see if I can get a good price on an upgrade over what I already have.

Visiting the ole alma mater before heading downtown.

By the way, definitely recommend Tinker Coffee and Illumine Coffee for your caffeine fix.

FYI Gametime really screwed us and didn’t honor a ticket purchase, instead offered a worse replacement. My son and I are sitting in UConn section 209. My Dad flew in today and is in 110.
