If you end up in the 400, 500 or 600 level you want to be as close as possible to between baselines - the corners or behind baskets are awful. You are so far away from the court it makes it hard to view. That probably applies to lower levels too
how much progressively worse does it get as you go from 400 to 500 to 600 if you can quantify (or contextualize) it?
my personal history with such seats: was sitting in the upper level at roughly the opposite foul line at at&t for The Shot™ against kansas and remember it being a pleasant experience. I was also in my early 20s and a bit of a dipshit
The 600s are high up there but you will get a functionally better view of the action from a midcourt seat in the 600s than you will from a lower-level seat behind the basket..
I don’t think 500 would be a ton different than 400, as it doesn’t have a ton of rows.
I think when you go as high as the 600.s you will start to struggle with things like telling if the ball went through the hoop at times. I would really try and avoid it if budget allows.
I would also agree court side 600 would be better than 100/200 behind the basket.
perfect! thank you for the thoughtful replies, exactly what I was looking for
We were in corner 200s (248), and I thought the views were decent. Could actually watch game on court. At the time I purchased, the only other things in this price range were high 100’s at the end zones and some 500s not quite center court. Of these three options, I was very happy with where we ended up.
400 seems more of a loge level
Get-in price seems to have stabilized just under $200. Prices in the lower bowl are falling and don’t seem to have hit a floor yet. There’s a ton of inventory.
There were tons of Nebraska fans last night too
Nebraska fans will just go anywhere where there is any possibility for them to be infuriated by a referee.
Dylan, just met Robbie Hummel. Told him i appreciate how he mentions UMHoops and he sung your praises and said he reads everything you do. Says you’re the best.
The NCAA Tournament, and Final Four in particular, is a great event and you get a lot of neutrals, especially in the upper bowl. For the years when Michigan wasn’t making tournaments, I’d just go to whatever regional / first round site was closest and enjoy a day of basketball.
Does anyone know if Michigan has the same bench/sections as yesterday? Interestingly in recent history the title game participants have already been on opposite sides in FF so benches stayed the same in title game. UConn was same as ours last night though - assuming M as the higher seed would keep the same bench? Don’t know details on that.
I believe the sections don’t change because those tickets were sold last Sunday. Couldn’t say how the benches are decided
I was wondering if it could be based on higher seed, so we’d actually switch
Yeah thought that maybe too since higher seed is usually on the other side. On the resale sites for lower bowl there are tons of tickets from across the benches and almost none behind the benches, so seems like the UConn contingent is moving from where they were yesterday but not sure how that relates exactly.
I gave up trying to figure it out after Denver last year. I assume that since the tickets are all mobile now, it’s easier for them to handle seat assignments after the semifinals than it would have been in the past.
Well, right, Illinois was on that side — but so was UConn. I was in 109 and Arizona fans were on my side of the arena.
Michigan section is 114-116, 214-216. I was in 206 corner which was good. Heard 100 corner sight lines weren’t great.
