You’re preaching to the choir my friend, believe me
What is the definition of “tweener”?
You can call him a Max Bielfeldt with a jumpshot and I will call him Zack Novak with size.
Tweener, a guy with the size of a 3 but the athleticism/body/game of a 5. No more non athletes please, watching our lack of lateral movement has convinced me of this even more. Let him go to Wisconsin where he can be serviceable as an upperclassmen. I want no parts of him.
Jalen Coleman visted ND yesterday for the UNC game -apparently with his family as well. Generally speaking, recruits don’t bring the family along unless said school is a serious player for the given recruit.
Jalen Coleman and his family will be visiting Notre Dame today

#NotreDame hosted 2015 4-star G Jalen Coleman (@ColemanJalen) at the UNC game today ($): http://t.co/dEKRZCC3C5

Dylan - how serious is ND for Coleman?
Deyonta Davis or Ricky Doyle?
Deyonta Davis or Donnal?

Boudreaux is a 6’7 220 lb. JUNIOR in High School. He, as a JUNIOR in High School, is already bigger than GRIII (our current “4”). GRIII is one of the most athletic players in the country, but how did that help us @Iowa? You can have all the athleticism in the world, but without drive and determination, it doesn’t mean much. I’ll take a 6’7 220lb. shooter that works his tail off day in and day out and not think twice about it. How can you be so content with players half-assing it out there? Oh, yeah, “they are more athletic!!”.
Agree, I would love a 15 big like Alex Owens. Known as one of the top rebounders and effort guys in the post, wish Beilein would go off the board and get a kid like this.

Excuse my language, but you have to be f$ckin kidding me buddy. I hate to toot my own horn, but was I not the sole individual on this board calling for tougher players that were defensive oriented that play with high energy? Was I not ridiculed by damn near everyone on this board for making that assertion? Did I not say that you can not continue to play shooting guards at the PF spot and sustain success? Don’t ever, and I mean ever, question me as to how I can be content with players that don’t exert energy, you make yourself look foolish and hypocritical because we both know damn well I am the main individual on this board with the polar opposite ideology as it relates to basketball.
All boils down to one thing, JB recruits lots of finesse players that are soft and/or unathletic, and I think deep down we all know that. I’m not saying that all of our players are soft/unathletic, but definitely a decent portion of the roster. You say Boudreaux is 6’7 220 as a junior…what’s your point? Trey Burke was 6 as a junior and he’s still 6 as a first year pro. GR3 was 6’5 as a junior and still 6’5 now. Jordan Morgan was 6’6 as a junior and he’s still that height today. Kind of a dum thing to cite in support of your position, no?
Bottom line is this, Boudreaux, much like Max, can work as hard as he wants, and he will never have the size/length/athletic combination to be a force at the PF spot on either offense or defense. Too slow to keep up with agile 4s, not tall/long enough to bother shots by true post 4s. Not fluid enough on offense to go around other 4s, not tall/long enough to get off clean shots in the post. Once again that leaves him as a one trick pony that simply shoots 3s and nothing else.

He can’t shoot 3s and he can actually defend bigmen.
Nevermind

Austin @AustinGstaff1 Grandstaff of Rockwall, Texas being watched by U-M.
New Footage from Grandstaff - pretty much confirms what I thought, good ball handling, good footwork/change of direction, good shooter, not a very good athlete. I definitely think he has a more complete game in relation to McQuaid, but size is hurting Grandstaff’s potential. Strictly a 2 in my view, wouldn’t mind us giving the kid a serious look.
No way will Kennard be as good as Nik. I just don’t see it.

Is this just a trolling post to say dumb things to get a reaction?

If im trolling, I beg of you to refute just ONE statement I made above. My guess is I’ll be waiting a while
Well Burke measured at 6-1 at the NBA camp, unless you’re going without shoes, which I don’t know why you would do that. I don’t know why you definitively say that GR is 6-5 and Morgan 6-6. And yeah, I disagree that JB recruits finesse guys. I think he coaches a finesse style, but not players.
Glenn is 6’6.5’’ same height as Kameron Chatman and Caris
There’s no question that Beilein doesn’t recruit with an eye towards physicality and strong inside play on either offense or defense. The prototypical guy he targets is the 6’4"-6’8", 170-200 lb, skinny SG/SF/Wing. He rarely targets inside bangers, and McGary is the only big he’s recruited in all his time here who’s shown the ability to be any more than a role player. Yes, the kind of player he favors does develop physically (to some extent at least), and he’s had enough success here with his type of recruit and his style of play to be happy with it, but you do wish for a bit more toughness and physicality sometimes.

There is no way Trey Burke is 6’1, and we all know that. I’ve literally walked/been next to him on several occasions and there is simply no way he is 6’1. As for GR3, he did a camp (I believe last year) and Dylan reported he actually measured in at 6’4.25. I could care less about “listed heights”, I’m talking about actual height. JB doesn’t recruit finesse players…yeaaaah, ok
