DeVante' Jones in concussion protocol, did not travel to Indianapolis

If I had a say I’d prefer Fran. Could have a Fran off with Iowa next year.

Do you personally know the news?

Oh brother now we’re going to insider betting info? You guys are too much while our pg is in c protocol.

Michigan has made four sweet 16s in a row. That’s the standard for the program, and the expectation for this team. The “happy to be here” sentiment ended years ago.

Do not want to beat a dead horse, but it is interesting to see the OSU clip from 17:34 to 17:54 where DJ hit the back of his head on the floor and remained there clutching his head.

Fans are allowed to set their expect as they wish, and are allowed to change them if they want depending on circumstances.

What is Ant talking about

I don’t know, it’s odd. I’d say it suggests Jones will be okay for Saturday but it’s not like he can guarantee Michigan beats CSU

Maybe it’s nothing, but it does seem to be a pretty positive outlook so far from the coaches and players comments. They don’t seem to be worried.

One of the insiders on the pay site was at the practice and said our shooting looked horrendous though.

Shooting looks like dog.

But maybe these are just warm up shots, the first of the day?

Hope so.

Otherwise what are doing during regular practices!

Does Juwan crack a “thats what she said” joke at 7:28 :joy:

Soooo……I’ve heard a rumor that the Michigan charter plane was seen at a rehab facility outside of Ann Arbor, where one Jeff Jackson has been a patient for the last two years. Sources say the disgraced former star PG has been cleared to play.

Actually, BRB - pitching this to all major motion picture studios.

“Action Jackson: Road to Redemption”

Synopsis: Disgraced former PG overcomes his demons and leads a rag tag band of basketball players to the Final Four and beyond”

Starring:
Jeff Jackson as himself
Eli Brooks as “The Professor” - A professor at the University along for his last ride with the team
Moussa Diabate as “The French Import” - we laugh and cry as he struggles to assimilate on the basketball court…and in a foreign land
Caleb Houston as “The Kid” - A babyfaced sharpshooter from the rough streets of Canada
Brandon Johns as “BJ111” - a reserve player with innate ability…if he could just get out of his own way!
Hunter Dickinson as “Big Dickinson Energy” - the unequivocal star of the team with a larger than life persona who had to learn how to be a teammate and not just a star

Just saw this news, man this team is seriously cursed this year. Really puts a damper on the tourney.

Frankie has improved but he’s still just at the point where he steals minutes for us.

Huge ouch

This is devastating. As much as I’ve been touting Frankie looking much better, I just can’t see them holding up for 20-30 minutes with Eli and Kobe getting 10-20 as a pair.

Most unlucky team ever in my Michigan basketball fandom. Make the tourney, Bracket looks surprisingly doable, one of three guys who can’t go down immediately goes down

THIS is the most unlucky?

To be fair, not sure I would not consider our bracket that favorable outside of CSU (perhaps). We would have Tennessee waiting (kenpom #7) and if we advance Villanova (kenpom #11)…

Two of the 3 seeds are Purdue and Wisconsin. I think based on bracketing rules we technically could’ve been bracketed with Wisconsin, because we only played them once, but realistically the only 3 seed options were Tennessee (7th) and Texas Tech (9th). Not much of a difference there and I still have PTSD from Texas Tech.

Villanova is the 3rd ranked 2 seed on kenpom, with Kentucky being the clear best and Auburn and Duke sandwiching Villanova. Not that bad of a draw imo. Arguably favorable as Villanova and Tennessee are kinda known for bowing out early, unless it’s a Natty year for Villanova
