Imo there’s 3 possibilities
#1: The locker room is in shambles
#2: The Grizzlies FO is just dumb as a rock
#3: Jenkins pulled an Ime Udoka
i…don’t find this very clarifying? as a very casual NBA guy: (1) Jenkins reputation in the league is at worst good and he’s been at times regarded as a top 5 coach in the league (2) Contra this take, Jenkins has clearly been instrumental in the development of their very deep rotation and that explains a lot of their success considering their top end talent (3) the timing is the most important aspect of this and there’s not a thing about that explained here
JB Bickerstaff was fired last year despite a successful season, Pistons fired Rick Carlisle when they didn’t think he’d get him over the humo. Sounds like Grizzlies fans and org didn’t think he’d get them to the next level.
I mean I am not confused by teams getting rid of coaches, either, I’m just responding to the video re: (1) and (2).
